Fouilly Les Oyes revived!

Okay, my version of Champs les Sims… I made a French small town world a couple of years ago, which, once finished, totally refused to load.

In the end, I nuked it, because it was that or going crazy with it. (crazier?)

And I’m thinking that re-using the name would be fitting… Since I plan to insert bad French puns everywhere I can! (you’ve been warned)

So I started adding a few fields…

The realistic type one, not those weird enclosed rectangular things… Which, really?

I also concentrated on “Le gouffre Luquet”:

And it’s attached Museum, “Le Musée Bulon”, named after l’Abbé Bulon, which was first to collect finds in and around the Gouffre.

The gouffre, being a “monument historique” is public property, and the cave can be visited for a small fee.

But the Luquet family still owns land around and they decided to capitalize on it. Hence the Musée Bulon:

It is not the most science oriented museum, but there are some interesting displays…

And a nice coffee shop for the weary tourist with a nice view of that waterfall.

There will also be a souvenir shop, but I got to find stuff for it… If you know where I can find prehistoric clutter, I’ll be happy to hear from ya!

Marie Anne Thibodeaux’s Atelier

The Manse Willow Creek Spring 1868

Marie Anne Thibodeaux (née de Villeneuve) was born on 11 Aug 1830 in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France. She is the wife of James Thibodeaux, preacher to the congregation of Adamshill Parish Church. James and Marie met in Paris in late 1850 and were married before the following spring. Quite the scandal was caused when Marie gave birth to a son, Gaspard “Casper” Thibodeaux, only a few short months later and the couple promptly moved south to Melun to escape the judgement of Parisian society and raise their son in peace. The Thibodeauxs lived in France for a further seven years before family duty called James back to America. The Thibodeaux family would arrive in Willow Creek in 1866 following the death of the previous parish minister, Grayson Ward, with the family taking up residence in The Manse in the same year. 

Marie’s atelier is on the second floor of The Manse, facing South. A place for quiet contemplation and self indulgence, the door to the atelier is always locked when Marie is inside.
