Olay Fresh Effects - Shine, Shine Go Away Cleanser Review
When I received this product through my Influenster Paradise VoxBox I had heard of the brand before and was interested in trying things from the line so I was excited to see one of these products.
When first using it I thought it had a nice, subtle smell and the color was an interesting silver-y purple. I applied it to my hands and lathered it then washed my face. I did notice once rinsing off the cleanser that my skin felt less greasy and oily, but it wasn't pulling my skin tight like other cleansers have done to my skin that claim to do the same thing as this one.

The bb cream is very lightweight and does not feel like I am wearing a mask of makeup. My true skin still shows through but does look cleaner and more fresh. The SPF 15 is a great added bonus too! The smell is wonderful, kind of a clean floral scent. I have made this a part of my morning routine and love having it in my purse for just in case. I actually just used some of it yesterday for the kids noses when we went out on the boat and forgot the sunscreen! Way to save the day Olay BB Cream!

So today was the first day I tried Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream, which is a moisturizer with SPF. AND it's tinted! So far, so good. I got in in my first ever voxbox from Influenster (cue excitement), the Sunkissed VoxBox. The tint I chose might be slightly too light, but that's okay, because it basically just mixes with my skin to give it a great glow, and I don't really tan much anyway.

I have recently gotten really into skin care. This is most likely definitely due to my recent increase in YouTube Beauty Video watching. I am kind of obsessed, really.
Most of the ladies I subscribe to are described as "beauty gurus," and for good reason: they are all BEAUTIFUL! And they have lots of products to keep them beautiful, which they are not shy about sharing (thank goodness)!
Unfortunately for me, though, most of the products they use are a little out of my price range. But one of my favourite YouTubers did a review of this little guy (above)! So I thought about it, weighed my options (this Fresh Effects Va Va Vivid, Clarisonic, a different Olay brush, Neutrogena Wave, etc.), and I finally decided to go for it.
I am thrilled with my choice! For the price ($12.99), it really can't be beat. I could feel a difference in my skin immediately after the first use, and it was amazing. Cleansing and/or scrubbing with my hands has never gotten my face to feel this clean, or to look this good!
My skin had been pretty dull for a while, and I didn't know what I could do about it. I have been looking into the Clarisonic line of face brushes, but couldn't justify the cost right now. I think I will eventually get one, but until then, I honestly can't get enough of my Olay Va Va Vivid!
First thing: it's teeny tiny! I thought it would be taller, but I actually really like the size. It will be great for travel, and while I'm at home, it fits nicely into my little "skin care bin" on the washroom shelf. The bristles are made out of a flexible rubber (not stiff or hard), which makes it easy to clean, and should last a good long while.
In the package, I got the Va Va Vivid brush, a sample size of the Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine Go Away cleanser, and the tiniest, most adorable little baby bottle of pink CoverGirl nail polish I have ever seen!
It is literally that small - about half the size of the regular nail polish bottles. So flippin' cute!
In addition, I also bought a full-size version of the Shine, Shine Go Away cleanser, because I was about to run out of my other one. I really like the Shine, Shine Go Away, and it really works to keep the oily parts of my face under control all day. The formula is pretty thick, and it lathers really nicely on the brush. It also smells fantastic.
So, I seem to have solved my skin problems, at least for now. My face is glowy and smooth, and makeup applies really well over my new awesome skin. I am so excited that this product really works for me, and couldn't be happier (or prettier)!
