- Fresh can often be seen drinking stuff from goofy cups, sometimes pulling gags like grabbing a bigger cup from off screen each time he goes to take a sip when he's talking to somebody. He likes to make people laugh, especially you
- He really likes Kool-Aid. I don't really have a specific reason for this I just feel like he would
- He often goes to various universes to spray paint in abandoned areas, sometimes even taking you with him to show you what he's left behind in the past/offer for you to leave new art behind with him. He used to go with Ink before Ink became a lot busier, so now he primarily has you to go with
- He has a tendency to lean on you a lot due to his height/he just likes to touch, keeping his arm around your shoulder or resting his chin on your head
- He always somehow knows a reference to some sort of meme or piece of media, he never fails to get jokes- so if he hears you quoting something he'll be able to complete a line pretty quick
- He loves to listen to you yap about anything, giving little hums in reply so you'll keep going. Sometimes you'll catch his glasses saying "LO-VE" before changing to something else
- He would absolutely be down for any situation, just call him and he's there. He also shows up immediately if you're in an emergency, hurrying to your aid to diffuse a tense situation- or distract someone so you can make a getaway
- if he catches you up too late, he will carry you to bed over his shoulder and toss you down onto your bed, staying by your side and cracking jokes until you fall asleep
- absolutely loves arcade games, probably owns a few arcade cabinets. how did he get them? we'll never know
- definitely owns a nerf gun or two, you never know when to expect him having one so he surprises you sometimes. don't let your guard down!!
“I thought it was a good idea to start this blog with headcanons of some characters' relationships. I tried as much as possible to keep the character as close to canon as possible – although it seems like a difficult task given what Fresh really is – and I really enjoyed this piece. Anyway, enjoy!”
Headcanons after the cut :3
For starters, there is no specific reason for Fresh to love someone: It can be for intimacy, common tastes or simply socializing. There are no defaults in this case.
However, when feelings begin to arise, your reaction will be extremely bad. You see, he is a parasite driven by survival instincts and absolutely both actions are designed for his own benefit. Why would he have feelings for something that could cost him his life? Why does he care?
This can result in lots and lots of rage and panic attacks every time he's around you. Some of this isn't your fault, though, it's just his way of dealing every time that damn chest burn comes up. He doesn't know how to react to feelings, he's gone his whole life without having to worry about them and not having control over it just terrifies him.
He will walk away from you for a while. Don't worry, he'll come back like nothing happened.
It can take months, let alone years, for the situation to change. Usually, this all ends up with some people losing their patience and calling him for an hour-long conversation. Despite some misunderstandings — like him thinking that love is some kind of terminal illness and that he was about to die — he finally understands the situation and is ready to take the next step. (When I say that, I mean him demanding that you ask him out on a date instead of him doing it himself).
This skeleton project knows absolutely nothing about dating, so expect lots of mistakes and stupid oversights at the beginning of the relationship.
He will betray you sometime by kissing someone close or even a random person. It's not on purpose, though. He's just too naive to understand the emotional significance a kiss can have, thinking it to be a random act of affection like a hug or handshake. He will apologize as soon as he sees how upset you are about it and will stop immediately, even though he thinks you are overreacting.
Overall, he's very affectionate and doesn't really understand the idea of personal space. He constantly finds ways to break into your house just to watch you sleep at night and enter the bathroom while you shower just because he wants to talk. It's cute, except when you have a stomachache or wake up screaming because there's a shadow-covered figure at the foot of your bed.
He is completely oblivious to the problems that happen in your life. If you really seem bothered or sad about something, he might try to talk and offer help, but nothing too complex. Honestly? He's already having a lot of trouble dealing with his own conflicting feelings, he doesn't want to be responsible for yours either.
He usually attacks parts of your face with kisses every time he sees you. When he wants to be more romantic, the kiss is longer and more sloppy, despite looking really passionate. He likes to hold a good amount of fabric from your shirt while kissing, usually from the waist.
After a while, there will be so much of his stuff lying around your house that all it takes is a key for him to actually start living with you. The key, of course, is only symbolic, as he always finds a way into the home, no matter how hard you try.
In short, he's just a confused and passionate guy. take care of him please

Jealous Fresh and ink!
Fresh:
He isn't a jealous skeleman. He may seem A little possessive at times, but he isn't insecure about your relationship or lack trust in you only wanting him.
But oh. Oh no. His metaphorical blood boils like lava when he is.
He can keep it under wraps for a good 15 minutes of raging jealousy before he snaps. It's pretty impressive how long he can hold out compared to some of the others.
He isn't the best with self control sometimes.
He would never get mad at you, nor snap at you. No he saves that for the offender.
He will try everything in his power to escape the situation with you- he won't leave you alone with a creep if they are actually bothering you.
Man will throw hands. Fresh don't play games when it comes to his Y/n. Your his, and he will make sure that point is well versed in someone's mind by the time he is done with them.
Of course he tries to get the point across before it boils up in him, mainly these:
Holding your waist, kissing your hand once he gets to your side of the room, a skeleton nuzzle to your temple, laying his chin in the crook of your neck- still holding eye contact with the other human.
He knows His whining growls and noises don't mean the same thing to humans, but he knows it will let you know something is up n he isn't just coddling you.
If it's a monster- his rage builds a lot faster, and this is were his possessiveness shines through:
He lets his instinctual side take charge.
They should be able to smell his mark on you, they know you are his... They are just picking a fight, I have a death wish don't they?
He will press his body more so into you, allowing the intent to scent you as his mate bubble up in his rage stirred magic.
He will snarl, growl, and make noises of warning. At This point it's a verbal confruntation for monsters, the monster has two options- fuck off, or get ready to scrap with your mate to prove they are more worthy.
Sometimes he has to drag you away from the situation, if snapping would result in particularly troublesome consciences. He would apologize for dragging you off though.
Once he started nipping at your neck, when the offender was blatantly ignoring fresh’s warnings that you were taken. Pda makes most humans uncomfortable enough to leave you be.
If he has to, he will turn and flip down the shades while he is escorting you away.
Ink:
He reacts much like fresh, but in a very monotonous passive-aggressive way.
He also isn't very good with self-control.
To keep his outer appearance steady, he has to have his hands on you. He just has to be connected to you in some way to stay calm.
He will be persistent on trying to hold your hand, hugging your waist, or putting his arm through yours. Please don't deny him, that will be the only thing keeping him from causing a scene... or a murder.
He likes to be mindful of the situation with you, so he knows when it's proper to feel jeslus or if he should brush it off until he gets home.
He can hold out on when he snaps for a very long time, days even. But it will benoticible based on his tone and attitude.
He will try his best to call you out of the situation that is upsetting him: asking for help, saying someone needed you on the other side of the room, saying that you guys needed to leave because of an emergency, having dream or blue call you to distract you or have you excuse yourself.
He only does those if he can't easily communicate that he has a problem with the one crossing a boundary.
He will nuzzle you slightly and put his scent on you, he won't make it to obvious- honestly ink himself doesn't realize he is doing it sometimes.
He rarely snarls, so if he does let his instinctual side take over like that, it would be best to leave. Immediately.
Monsters usually get the hint immediately, humans are a little more difficult.
He doesn't like pull the scary face, especially in public- But he will use that demonic, souless, ink dripping, dead grin if he needs to.
His use of pet names for you doubles if not triples. He will use one's you've never even heard him call you before. Baby, my love, te amo, sweetie, darling, love of my life, babe, sweetheart, my queen/king, ruler of my soul.. so many. cute. names.
He can hop you and him out of your au, so he is a-okay committing a crime. But he knows you like where you live and wouldn't want to get you or your family in trouble.

Uncorrupt nightmare:
Timid, precious boy was beyond dumbfounded when you were anything but negitivly affected from his aura. You were so calm, dream was lovely but sometimes he gave you anxiety with how uppity and all over the place he was, so nightmare was like a tiny blessing to your own wallflower soul.
You can't feel his aura, why? no one can figure it out.
He always thought you were a prompt ignoring or pushing away the feeling of dread he often brought with him into a room. “Why do you hang out with me so much if your always uncomfortable near me?” “what are you talking about, nighty? I'm never uncomfortable with you! ... Actually I'm pretty comfortable hanging out with you” he didn't question you on it again, but the way he couldn't feel a lie in your intent made hi brain turn trying to figure out how you could possible be being truthful.
Your anxiety attract after his brother had pushed you bit to far in front of the whole village one day, had him rethinking your ability to mask when you lied, because he was the first person you ran to cling too after fleeing from the public humiliation you had been put through. It was only after he managed to calmly walk you out of your panicked state that it finally hit him. You honestly felt comfort with him. He made you feel safe
He just can't let himself blieve you actually like him, even though he can feel it, and sense no lie from you. He is filled with self doubt. Why would someone like you want him?
He needs a healthy dose of reassurance, but he gets better with accepting that he deserves good things too.
You probably have to give rather large hints for him to initiate anything unless you want to just bite the bullet yourself.
It takes a long time, but he eventually relaxes into how your relationship works- even getting comfortable enough to initiate things himself.
He always asks if he can kiss you. Sometimes verbally, sometimes non-verbally, the important thing is that he always sees to it that you are comfortable with him touching you in anyway.
Please don't tease or be mean to him. He can handle a little picking every now and then- but if the only person who was holding him together starting hammering at the weaker places of him, he would shatter rather quickly. So don't push him very far, he loves you very much and if he thinks you turned against him too- corruption will infect him fast enough to make your head spin.
As all normal couples, you guys have your healthy disagreements and fights. But it's always quickly smoothed over.

It wasn't until he found you in the middle of a mental breakdown, and his presence didn't alter your current state at all. That's was a very odd thing for dream to put together in his brain. He did his best to help you feel better, it was a lotdifrent from what was used to, since his aura normally calmed people enough to help themselves calm down.

He has a beautiful painting of your eyes, you just don't know they are your eyes. He will tell you one day, but for now, he just wants you to keep thinking the exact oil paint replica of the windows to your soul are beautiful.
He is very unstable- one moment he is buddha calm and relaxed, the next he acts like he hasn't sleep for a year and his blood is made of pure energy drink.
He leaves broomie laying around the house often, sometimes forgetting to bring his paintbrush with him when he leaves. You think he is just using it as an excuse to come back later without seeming overly clingy.
He is actually very good at keeping up with your human needs, he knows you need certain things he dosen't- so he will make sure to pick up more necessitys for youevery so often. He likes making life a little easier on you.
He always puts broomie in a specific chair, thus forming a very long running joke that, that was broomies chair- no one takes broomies chair.
I have a strong feeling ink would like the coffee coca cola. Man guzzles paint, don't tell me he wouldn't. He probably like the vanilla kind the best. It just reminds him of acrylic paint. (I'm drinking it right now, it's not that bad, but I definitely won't buy another lol. I refuse to waste it)

Every sans or papyrus will be clingy, they are just built like that when it comes to having a S/o- it's in their instincts to stay near their mate, but also they have their respective mental issues.
He just likes to chill. Duh. He has so much stress piled on him already, he doesn't want anymore hecticness going on daily.
He doesn't particularly like humans. But he can, once he gets to know them.
You probably went through a trial period of him being very standoffish, probably even an asshole. If you pass this part of building up a relationship with him, he will finally accept to give you a chance as an individual.
He know you aren't a bad person, he is just wary. Just as you are with certain situations- everyone has those things that unsettle them.
Your relationship will settle into that 100% comfort zone eventually. You both know what is crossing a line, and what territory is free, so you guys can roam around without a care in the world.
He is in constant fear of losing you, now that you've gotten so close to him.
Sometimes you just need someone to be there with you through everything no matter what, and to sans that's what you are. He is more than happy to be that for you too.

you know how you start to develop lil habbits or things your s/o says after you spend so much time around them? yeah, you cant stop with the neon lingo your boyfriend infected your mind with. justs like he cant stop quoting things you say, or when he is alone he does things you do. he always catches himself a few minutes after- it makes him feel all fuzzy, the small reminder of your impact on his life.

it takes him forever and a decade for him to realize he liked you. (you can thank his brother for helping that along a lot faster)
he dosesnt give five fucks about the rest of the world, but if you are his family- your protection is his upmost important priority.
for a long time he wont give duting somone for messing with you or his brother. he will finaly phase out of it being his first thought of action once he is on the surface for a few years. the queen dsent want anyone to get the wrong idea about monsterkind, dispite the argument that there is a human murdered by another human regularly.
he talkes like a papyrus. and he isnt very uptight around family- to the public he is te well structured,powerful sans, one no one dares to mes with unless they having a dusting-wish.
he knows everything, or can find out in due time. no information he needs is unobtainable, for him at least. how he does it? i couldnt tell you even if i knew.
he isnt one of the slimmed down swapfells. his bones are just thicker- like a classic sans build. of course he is ripped, shockingly so, his natural build is heavier set.
he inhales greasy foods. give the man take out, give him grilbys, give him deepfried shit. he loves it.
he can be a profesional minipulator, and is very much aware of this skill. he uses it to his advantace, but never on you or his brother- he will use it FOR you and his brother though.
he has a hard time puting himself first. he has an even wose time with articulating how he feels- it all gof though, he is working on it.

If someone told him that he would have a human blessed upon him, one that would love him, be able to contact him without their life withering away right in front of him- he would have laughed right in their face. A cruel thing to joke about with someone in his situation. He was fated to be alone for all eternity- in more ways than one.
it dosent matter to him if you are mortal or a devine being. you will always be on the highest pedestal to him.
not many people look at death and say ‘wow, he is beautiful.’ or ‘i think i love him’ but you- you did. you saw him, in al that he is, and said “yes, this is the man i love”
if you are mortal, he will do anything he knows how to prolong your life or even alter it to his own lifespan if youd allow him.
there are plenty arumor that he kindaped you after finding that you were not affected by ‘deaths kiss’. or that you werent even real.
he would do anything for you, buy anything, steal anything, kill anything- yeah, you would have to talk to him about that... it all good tough, atleast you know he really dose love you.
he always asks before he touches you. at first he would flinch a bit when you went to touch him, he still to this day has a fear that you would crumble to nothing when you layed a delicate palm to his cheekbone. or that you would screetch in agony when his hand interlaced with yours.
he would fall into a period of anxiety and depression once realizing it wasnt just ‘friendly feelings’ he had twords you. doing anything other than the light touches or sometimes longer hugs he would ask for terrified him- what if he kised you to death, litterarly?
you help him work out of it eventually, and go on to develop a stong rlationship with your god of death.
he likes flowers, despite not being able to touch them without hem wilting. he often gifts them to you.
do you like snuggling up to a warm fireplace after being out in the freezing cold? thats what your soul feels like when you are with him. finally safe, and at home.
