The succulent fresh ham is combined with garlic and flavorful herbs in this Paleo Baked Fresh Ham recipe. This dish is great for a big family dinner or a special occasion because it is simple but delicious.
Ingredients: 1 fresh ham about 8-10 lbs. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped. 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 325F 165C. Make crisscross marks on the fresh ham's skin. Combine the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and chopped rosemary and thyme in a small bowl. Make sure the herb mixture gets into the scored cuts on the fresh ham by rubbing it all over it. After arranging the fresh ham on a roasting pan, loosely cover it with foil. Bake for approximately 2.53 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145F 63C, in the preheated oven. In order to allow the skin to crisp up during the final thirty minutes of cooking, remove the foil. After cooking, take it out of the oven and give it a good 15 minutes to rest before slicing. Cut the Paleo Baked Fresh Ham into slices and serve it with your preferred sides.
