i really want to be more prepared and organized for my freshman year in hs, and i actually got some stickers and decorations (?idk what to call it) ready to use for a planner and/or bullet journal.

my family is planning to move soon, so my parents don't want to get back to school supplies now, so we don't have a lot to pack if we move august. BUT THAT MAKES ME SO S T R E S S E D because that means i get my stuff in sept. and my school starts early sept. ,, so that means if i go back to school shopping then, i’ll basically get “leftover” supplies. and that happens ever year since kindergarten, and sometimes i don't get the good quality supplies, and my stuff breaks a 1/4 way into the school year :((
A L S O
does anyone know any good quality supplies that happened to be affordable/cheap ?? please help !1!1
my favorite animal is me pretending to work on my math project (which I will not be redoing) while my professor slowly walks around to talk to people about their progress. Luckily she likes me and isn't worried about checking my progress LMAO
The PSD is hitting so hard right now because I made friends with so many seniors in this play that will be gone next year 😭😭 i got adopted like twice but they're gonna leave me 🥲
my friend tried to upload a Word doc onto Blackboard and ended up submitting the entire Word program rather than the paper, and his professor gave him a 0, and i thought i was a fucking mess
After one week I think I am the dummest shit in our university_ Again, who the hell told me med school will be fun? It’s really beautiful but HELL! Hell, hell, hell, so much hell..
I just walked out of class to use the bathroom for the first time since starting college, and I honestly feel so powerful
To be a “freshman”, or not to be?
This particular question has been soaring through my mind recently. Every time I hear the word “freshmen”, it sounds simply like “fresh meat”.
I, for one, prefer to be called simply as a high school graduate, and it may sound weird, but here's why:
It feels good to consider myself as a high school graduate. Sure, that's what you'll need to do in order to enroll in college, but I can be very sentimental, and cherish little moments for periods of time.
Again with the “fresh meat”, it may seem a little overwhelming and uncomfortable to be labeled as a freshman. Did you know that freshmen are more likely targeted around campus? - making us more vulnerable than most people seem; allowing some to take advantage.
In my opinion, the “freshmen” title seems as if I'm non-experienced, a “ newbie” of some sort, or just now getting into the real world - with real life problems, scenarios, and outcomes, which all is completely true, but the whole “freshmen” scenario has turned itself into an actual stereotype, and I refuse to become a part of one (For example, wearing school colors/paraphernalia consistently, showing off lanyards, boasting about how exciting the school year may be, etc.).
So I would love it if you can call me a high school graduate, although next year I’ll be a sophomore ;)
