the scene where Wesley and Illyria have despicable evil gross sex is nauseating but its still probably the best scene in Angel season 6. The conversation beforehand where Illyria demolishes the fiction of Wes and Fred having a fairy tale romance is the most brutal breaking down of a character I've ever seen and she really throws it all in his face

You wanted her to be happy? She was happy with Gunn, and you were desperate to see them break

You were better for her? She was haunted by a murder she didn't even commit, that Gunn saved her from and you pushed her towards

You cared about what she wanted? She wanted her parents to know she was dead, that she was not afraid. Did you forget that part? Do you only remember the part when she said your name for the last time?

You loved her? For her? Not for this face, this smile? Then why, instead of carrying out her will that you alone knew of, did you spend your days staring at this face through a glass of whiskey?

Was that what she would have wanted? Or did it not matter that she wanted you to tell her parents the truth, just like it did not matter that she wanted Gunn over you? Even when she finally reciprocated your feelings, attempted to start a relationship, you did not notice until she used this face, these lips. You did not notice because it was what Fred wanted. And that doesn't matter to you. Only what you want.
