today's frestonian phrase
quoi de neuf kiisukass? meaning: what’s new pussycat?
You’ve heard of Estonian Wife Carrying, now get ready for...Frestonian Cat Carrying!
Less popular than Pootte, the national sport, participants must carry their cats along a track that is officially measured to be 253.5 metres long, over a series of obstacles such as squeaky mice, laser pointers, and the sound of tuna can being opened. The cat carried may be your own, or your neighbour’s, or you may have found them further afield; the cat must, however, be over 2 years of age.
The winners take home the cat’s weight in pootatoes.

...on the name of our capital
The capital of Frestonia, Port Tallis, is written and pronounced as Poot Tallis. (Collins, 2016)
In some older texts we may find the capital referred to Pootsris or simply Tallis since the former port (poot) city Port of Tallis and Tallis grew together during the industrialization of pootato farming. Pootatoes have, however, still remained Frestonia’s main industry and export. (Tindra, 2016)
