??? ‘FIKE’ TEVROS (he/him, left) - the main muscle in my alien-smashing space opera. Not his real name. Special Forces deserter turned relentless alien bounty hunter turned Special Forces officer (again). Lost his arm and most of his lower jaw in an alien attack when he was 16 and has been hellbent on revenge ever since. Has a sever speech impediment due to the poorly fitted jaw prosthetic so rarely speaks multiple syllables and uses sign language intermittently. Gruff, stoic and stubborn, he’s pretty unapproachable but underneath it all there’s a surprisingly gentle giant with a tragic backstory.

CASSIOPEIA ‘CASS’ GREENFINCH (she/her, right) - a member of Lock’s adventuring party and one of their oldest friends. Formerly a captain of the castle guard, she’s especially skilled at horseriding and archery. Passionate and headstrong, her own personal idea of justice is sometimes at odds with others and she’s not above stealing if she can justify it. Due to an incident that cost her her mother as a child, she hates magic (especially fey magic) and refuses to have anything to do with it, despite innate spellcasting being in her blood.

roughly every 6 months I remember that my first proper OC from 2009 exists and I’m unable to draw anyone else for like 6 hours straight

At the start of the month I said I’d draw all my LGBT+ OCs with their respective flag colours - that turned out to be too ambitious (there are SO MANY) but I did manage to get these four done just in time! Names and pride flags are under the cut :)

These guys are the four main protagonists from my Still Not Officially Named sci-fi/space opera project that I desperately want to put out there one day. If you’ve been around for a long time you probably vaguely recognise them, although they’ve all had a bit of a redesign and I’ve changed some of the names a little bit! This universe has a huge cast and they’re nowhere near the only LGBT+ ones but I ran out of time - when in doubt, unless otherwise specified assume that literally all of my characters experience some level of multiple-gender attraction.

From top to bottom, left to right:

Tungsten Kane (she/her): headstrong space patrol cadet with missing memories. new in town and desperately trying to get her life together. asexual/biromantic

Kendrick ‘Kez’ Tenra (they/them): nervous programmer (and hacker) and linguist. legit genius but currently flunking school to piss off their dad. nonbinary

Seskey Yaxley (he/him): charismatic mechanic, junker and wannabe star pilot. will do basically any job no matter how dumb or dangerous as long as it pays. pansexual (but with a heavy preference for guys)

‘Fike’ (he/him): surly ex-Special Forces operative turned renegade alien bounty hunter. may or may not be wanted for multiple crimes. not his real name. demisexual

I didn’t actually mention it in the post whoops but my most recent art post is my OC Tungsten Kane, she’s existed in various forms since like 2009 and I’m currently revamping/redesigning her and her friends again so I can start thinking about maybe doing that comic I’ve wanted to do since I was 14... it’s basically a coming-of-age slice-of-life/roadtrip style adventure, but in space and also the world might end

I still haven’t fully rewritten her bio but she’s an ex-interplanetary patrol officer who lost a ton of her memories and now she’s a professional alien monster smasher. She used to be on the track team, loves pop punk and is obsessed with obscure RPGs from like 20 years ago
