“Hey Freya do you want to be my date to this party me and lads are going to?” Jay came into my room asking me. Jay and I have been best friends for a while now and I know that I have feelings for him, but I’m not going to tell him because I’m afraid that he doesn’t feel the same.
“Um… sure what do I need to wear is it formal or casual?”
“Its going be semi formal all the lads are wearing suits so a nice dress will be nice.”
I went to my closet to find something to wear I wish Jay would have told me earlier because then I could have went and bought a new dress. I pulled out a simple dress from an event a while back.
I went to shower and got ready. I put the dress on and found some black heels and put some jewelry and walked out. Jay was standing in the kitchen drinking a beer. He nearly spit out his beer.
“Wow you look amazing Frey.”
“Thanks should we get going?”
We arrived at the party and immediately I am left alone because Jay went to find the other lads. I took my phone out because I didn’t know anyone. Kelsey, Tom’s girlfriend came up to me.
“Hey Frey what’s up? Why are you standing all by yourself?”
“Well I came with Jay and as soon as we got here he went to find the other lads and left me here.”
“Well come dance with me!”
Kelsey and I went to the dance floor and started dancing when some guy starting grinding on me. I asked him to please stop, but he kept on. Finally Jay came back, but with a vengeance.
“Can you step off my girl?”
“Whoa, dude she never said anything about a boyfriend!”
“Well she does so back off!”
“Jay what the hell was that about?”
“He needs to step off you! You are mine!”
“Last time I checked I wasn’t property and not yours okay?”
Jay pulled me into a private room.
“Look Freya don’t get mad at me please?”
“I have a right to be mad don’t give that bull shit!”
He pulled me closer to him and kissed me.
I pulled away. “What was that for?”
“I’ve liked you for a while now and I couldn’t just let you be in my life without being my girlfriend. So I guess what I am saying is that Freya will you be my girlfriend?”
“OF COURSE!” I pushed up on my tiptoes and kissed him again.
