Person: @freydis-freydat Location: it's a wooded area, it could be anywhere He doesn't know how long he's been sitting by the fire, squinting with his good eye as his fingers fiddle with the garnet stone hanging from his neck. Etienne had been through a lot since he'd set foot on Lysara and what got him through was just going forward. None of what had transpired was something he could just push on through. It was something he knew he needed to do, but a lot had happened at once. When he looks into the flames of the fire all he can think of was the memory of picturing the Legionnaires from his father's stories around the campfire. Now he pictured his own current lineup and he had to avert his gaze. The smell of baked goods hits him before she actually approaches and Etienne was on his feet and turning to gently thunk his head against her shoulder. He's got a lot to say to her in particular and all of those words swarm around in his head like frantic bees. "I'm sorry." Is where he starts because it's a croaked blanket statement.
