Finn only planned on making a casual appearance at the gala, because of a promise he made to his boss. But as luck would have it, he was stuck and completely out of his element. Fingers fidgeting on the bar as he waited for the scotch he had just ordered. His eyes danced through the room, taking in all the people in their tuxedos and gowns, silently appreciating the dedication each one had put into their attires. He had been to galas before, but that was one of the few that he had gone on his own will and it seemed very different from all he had seen before; all those celebrities in expensive dresses and suits, hiding their secrets and pain behind stupid, fake smiles. Now, what he saw was a bunch of people having fun and genuinely enjoying the party. His thoughts were cut off by a figure approaching him by the side.
