Ahh! I had my last exam today before reading week (I have 4 after still) but I think it went okay? It was my frhd exam - adolescent development, which is not my favourite class but it’s quite interesting. I’m just not the most functional at 8:30 classes. But overall, I think I did pretty okay?

I honestly can’t believe it’s the last week of January already??!? Where did the time go?!

I’m really enjoying all my classes, though the amount of readings required for my adolescent development class is a little strenuous. Hopefully I should find my balance soon!

I also just met with my anatomy professor about some courses to take next year with her, so I’m pretty excited about the future! Speaking of which, if I was to make anatomy worksheets what would you guys think? Yay or Nay?!

On Sunday, I had a paper due for my adolescent development class, where we had to pick any adolescent character from a book/movie/tv show and write a reflection on them, based on certain questions we were assigned, as well as append all the answers for the questions to the paper.

I chose Cory Matthews from Boy Meets world, and analyzed his cognitive development in season 1 and 2 which was actually interesting except for the fact that while I wrote all the answers to the questions over the past two weeks, I didn’t start the paper till the day it was due because I was so busy, and then I fell sick. Go figure haha. It turned out okay otherwise! I think I did fine?

How do you prepare to write a paper? I try to write down all the points I want to cover, the best order, and actually write the transition sentences/paragraphs between topics down first so that they can easily blend in.

For my program, we’re required to take 2 credits worth of an arts or social sciences course. I already have 1.5 credits, so I’m taking my last 0.5 credits this semester through adolescent development.

So far the course seems extremely fascinating, so I’m excited to see what more I can learn over the course of this semester.
