Hi I'm sorry for sounding ignorant, but what does demi sexual mean? I see posts about it a lot, but no one ever really specifies..

its basically like needing a strong emotional connection with someone before you can form (or in my case, act upon) romantic feelings. so some people its like they dont have those romantic feelings at all and other people it might just be like they have to know someone rly well before they feel comfortable in a relationship, or even going on a date. its a spectrum after all but yeah thats the gist of it

edit: i totally answered this about demiromantic bc thats what i am so i assumed oops but like replace romantic w sexual and thats basically the same thing ??? im just not gonna rewrite it im not demisexual tho so im no authority
