Dox Blade Kiridashi in my First Aid kit. This kit is with us on all family trips. If we need cutting assistance this razor sharp blade helps.
My first custom Knife arrived today. A folding kiridashi by Jan Dox. It is very well made and sharp as a razor. It shall serve me as part of a every day first aid kit. Therefore we chose the orange g10, the places of the groves and the A2 Steel.
A few of our members have been making friction folders lately, so I thought I’d do a quick round up as whilst they are all friction folders, they are each very different from the others and show off their makers’ style.
The first row are JimmyPie’s first and most recent friction folders - made less than a year apart. The thread for them is here if you want more pics and details.
Next row are from Mark Jacob in various stages of completion. The thread these are in is here, again if you want more pics and details.
Next row down are from Steel Nutter. The thread these are from is here.
Next row is from CSR Knives - this is a bit different in that it was made for a baker to cut samples of bread at a stall. There’s a bit more info in this post.
And the final row is from Corbz. The thread for this, with more details and pictures, can be found here.
