I love this blog!! It's so helpful:') Do you know of any solid higher range male voices that come off as playful and/or aloof? I'm also looking for another male voice thats deeper and smooth, with a bit of a rougher attitude. I'm sorry I'm not very good at describing voices but I hope its understandable enough!

I’m not quite sure what you mean by playful AND aloof, but I’m picturing a Robin Hood sort of character? Dependent and roguish, perhaps? I’m struggling to think of a personality that would fit that portion of your request, but as for PLAYFUL… Here is Justin Timberlake being silly. Sam Tsui (on right) is solidly in the higher male register and you can find some spectacularly adorable vids with him and his husband, Casey Breves. (speaking of gay patriarchs, PK Creedon, on left, and his parter Mike are amazing for a smile. PK is very playful!)For your dude with a ‘tude, Tom Hardy (on the right in the linked video’s first scene) has played quite a few rough and tumble guys, most notably Eddie Brock of the new Venom movie. His voice is a bit rough, though, to match his streetwise attitude. Shaquille O’Neal is a gentle giant if there ever was one, but he has a velvety smooth deep voice. Other suggestions would be Dennis Brady (the Allstate Man), Redd Pepper (this is a joke–but look him up and you’ll recognize his voice instantly!) As always, my inbox is open if you’d like to send more detail and dig a little deeper. I can comb the voice actors’ guild as well, if I have a little more idea of what you’re after. (:
