Women's Choir and my Friendship
Inspiration Go check out @friendshipgoals101
We are both in the same choir, but not in Women's.
My Best Friend: "I want the Women's Choir to lull me to sleep. They are just that good."
Me: "Same. They have a beautiful sound that makes them perfect to sing lullabies."
My Best Friend moves to Women's, but I get stuck in the worst upperclassmen chorus according to my peers.
Me: "Remember that time when you said that Women's choir was so good that you want them to lull you to sleep?"
My Best Friend: "Yeah? What about it?"
Me: "You are part of that squad. Now I wish you and your chorus could do the same."
Best Friend: "Oh right 😂."
And that was when I decided to show up to the class at least twice a week and wished I could be part of that experience with her.
I get into Women's, but my friend moves up to the highest choral group despite telling me she wished to stay.
Me in my head: At least I will now have people wish to lull them to sleep. Just won't be the same without her. Really hoped to do this alongside my best friend.
Me in reality: "Congratulations! I'm so proud of you!"
Best Friend: "Thanks. Congratulations on getting into Women's."
Me: "Thanks. Just wished we weren't separated again."
In My Head: I am happy for her, but I will miss her. If we are in the same chorus, we are guaranteed to have at least to share one class with each other, but now I have to hope to share a different class with her. I need to hope to share another class.
Our friendship was founded during chorus class in freshman year, being with each other during rehearsals and catching up before class started. Our friendship kept growing despite being separated into different choruses as we did share another class.
And I do not want to lose that. Ever.
Please do not separate us. Ever.
