Five years ago today when I was poorly @alexvdb8 visited me and brought me a beautiful bunch of tulips 💐 he’s never visited without bring me a bunch of one of my favourite flowers (the other is Sunflowers 🌻) since! Today he visited me with another beautiful bunch of tulips 🌷 although this time thankfully under better circumstances! I’ve known Al since nursery school, for most of our lives, 19 years. He’s been my friend since before I was sick, and he’s stuck by me and my family through all these years, through good times and bad. He was always one of the first to visit me in hospital. We used to have so much fun during the Pj parties at my house! I went to the prom after party at his house; it was the first time I got drunk, and I got home at 6am 😂! He’s an incredibly kind, funny, smart guy, and I’m incredibly lucky he’s been my friend through all our adventures, and that he’s still here. Admittedly, he did say today that I never gave him much of a choice in being his friend; I decided he was, and he’s been stuck with me ever since 😂! Thanks for the visit today Alex; it was so nice to see you!
