I kinda feel this? Apparently Geminis have to act like some weird amalgamation of the Mean Girls and Heathers. Two different people have insisted I must be wrong about my sign and I’m actually a Cancer, not a Gemini. Just based on my personality. I’m pretty sure I know WHEN I WAS BORN—!
that’s absolutely wild that people will tell you you’re wrong about a literal personal fact about you just because of some made up description
I completed this for class almost a year ago but the file was corrupted and the video wouldn’t upload anywhere. I finally got it to work and I’m so happy y’all get to see it!!

Friska belongs to @vulcan-and-the-mighty-muses and Jaal to @mygardenofmuses !
This follows On Months.
About that ... I do have a partner. His name is Jaal and I love him. A lot. I hope you're okay with that. I meant to talk with you about it but then this ... this happened. I met him after I met you. His ship crashed not all too far from yours...
"Are you okay?" Bruce asked Friska as they entered the tower. Bruce wanted to know her safe rather sooner than late, but she's been quiet for longer than he was comfortable with.
She was doing her best to keep from crying now. "No...No I'm not okay...I...I don't know what I'm supposed to be feeling... I don't even know how a relationship with three others would work..." She felt so many emotions right now that she wasn't sure which one she should start with.
It was a long day for the poor thing. "I don't know how a relationship without sex would work. Friska. Shh. We figure it out" he assured. He reached for her hand but didn't take it, insecure if he should without explicit permission.
"That's not what I meant...What I mean is me, you, and this Jaal person all being in one relationship..." She was trying to hold herself together so she didn't yell or anything. And now wasn't the time to bring up sex. Is that what he thought a relationship was though? Just endless sex with anyone? If so then how was she sure that he could be loyal to anyone? How could she know for sure that he wouldn't treat her like dirt for not being good enough? After all, she's been looked on for lesser reasons.
He felt like he messed up. As they reached the door to his apartment, Bruce just stood there for a bit. Scared. "The last time that happened - me caring deep for a man and a woman at the same time - she forbid me to fall in love with him. And each time I was with him I felt so happy and so bad. I'm ... actually having no idea why I tell you." He was stalling, wasn't he.
"Bruce, this is just...new for me. But I won't do that." She slowly opened the door and walked in before looking around. She just wanted to sit out on the balcony and think all of this, but she had to meet Jaal first. She just... needed to meet him. Friska just wanted to talk to him for a bit.
Hearing her say that ... was reassuring. Bruce exhaled while he was still in the hallway; then followed Friska to the living room. "Jaal?" he called weakly.
Jaal was in the bedroom, taking some notes on plants. The moment he heard Bruce, he left his notebook on the table and walked to the hall to welcome him. "Bruce! Welcome home!" he smiled cheerfully. It was then when he noticed the butterfly lady by his side. "Oh, we've got guests! Who's your friend?"
"My name's Friska and I'm Bruce's..." She thought about saying friend for a moment but didn't want Bruce to feel bad. "I'm his girlfriend as of a few nights ago. But from what I understand you're... you've already mated with him...Am I right in assuming?" She thought he looked kind of odd, but it was Bruce's decision. Not hers.
"Yeah" Bruce affirmed for Jaal, looking at Friska and urging her to follow as he walked up to Jaal. He wanted to greet him back and take comfort in his presence. The nervous mood that's been over him fell off as soon as Jaal appeared. Somethimg about him just had him feel it would be okay. Maybe he could do the same for Friska.
"Yes. We have been a couple for a while now. I think we started dating a week before Christmas?" Jaal pressed a kiss on Bruce's forehead, silently thanking him for breaking the ice. Then he took gently Friska's hand into his own and gave it some comforting caresses. "I'm really happy to meet you. If there's anything you need, just let me know and I'll do my best to help."
Friska pulled her hand away holding it close to her chest. Her and Bruce met before that, but they already trusted each other to mate. "I...I just need some fresh air..." She walked out to the balcony without another word. She then just stood there her antenna flat against her head. She felt like she had some how seduced Bruce, and that she was no good for him now.
Watching her leave like that, the smile on Jaal's face vanished. "Did I say something wrong?"
"No. You are awesome" Bruce declared. He cupped Jaals cheeks so he'd only look at him, and smiled brightly. "Did you miss me?" he asked him, hoping to get him back to a good mood - give back what he's just done for him.(bearbeitet)
"Of course." Jaal melted under his touch and cupped one of his hands to kiss it. "I always miss my batsie when he isn't home."
Aw, Jaal. "Ohh. I wish I'd brought you. But I had to talk with Friska." Jaal still wasn't allowed to look at her, evident by how Bruce still held his face. He just liked the attention. But he looked at Friska. Or rather, the balcony door she'd went through before.
"Is Friska alright? Why did she leave?" Jaal asked, before something in his mind recalled a detail she mentioned. "And why did she put such emphasis in our mating?" He wasn't sure if he should feel offended or flattered by those words.
Okay. Answering one question at a time ... "She is upset. She just learned I like you too. And she finds it important not to have sex with partners for two months." Bruce blinked. That were all. He looked back at Jaal. "So ... I think she thinks bad of me now. Wait, of us." He didn't mate with Jaal all alone, so even when they were both to blame for having sex right away, they were in this together. Which took some of the bad out of the situation for Bruce.
"But we didn't do anything wrong." Jaal was confused. "Did you tell her we are polyamorous? Perhaps she is monogamous and can't handle the idea of getting two mates at the same time?"
Well, this is where things got weird. "I thought she didn't like me that way" Bruce said, louder now, his arms in the air in frustration. There were so many things that went wrong here.
Hearing this her emotions became a bit of control and a blast of psychic energy blast out her from her breaking the glass, but that was it. "Of course I like you that way Bruce, but among my people you're not allowed to have other mates beyond the one you first mate with... That's why I wanted to wait a bit... It's something you're not supposed to do it on a whim...It's supposed Butt be shameful to have more than one mate...But this...this just proves that all those rumors about me being good for nothing but ruining relationships is true...You chose your mate before now..."
Oh, he fucked up, Bruce thought as he heard the glass crack. His wings curled around Jaal straight away, but then the noise stopped just as quickly as it began. Phew.
"...Bruce shouldn't have to choose between us." Jaal mumbled, wrapping an arm around Bruce's waist. "He is capable to love more than one person. What's wrong with that?"
"I can't speak for you or him, but in my culture those who wish to have multiple mates are treated as outcasts. They receive no work, no one is allowed to give them money, food, or anything else that is required to survive, so they have no choice but to live out in the wild...Or die in the streets and then thrown to the animals..."
Bruce' ears lowered. He could see that happening. He looked up to Jaal. "There was one who wanted to hurt her just a while ago. It's why she's gonna stay a while." And then to Friska: "You can have friends, right?"
"Yeah..." She took a deep breath before walking in. While her people might have a problem with this she didn't. "But this isn't my home, and while this is...all new to me, I can try to be with you both."
Jaal let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in. He reached toward Friska, opening one of his arms in a inviting manner. "You know - my people doesn't see anything wrong with having multiple partners. In fact, most families are like that. You already know Bruce, he's the most loving bat you'll ever meet. As for myself - I'll be happy to introduce you to the Angaran customs. I would feel honored when you find me worthy of you, too."
"It'll..." She took a deep but shaky breath. "It'll be quite the adjustment from what I've been taught, but I'm sure it can work. I just need time before mating. It's what humans call dating. I hope that's alright with the both of you."
"I'm fine with that. I was married to a human once and we dated almost for a year before we got married. So I don't mind waiting until you feel ready." Jaal reassured her. "Are you good with hugs, at least?"
"Are you okay when we still do it?" was rather Bruce' concern. He held on to Jaal, concerned.
She sighed a bit. "Yeah. Just... don't expect me to join you both for about four of my months. But we can still start in two Bruce."
"I... I would like to be part of it somehow. I'm afraid to be alone at night." Jaal admitted. He didn't want to feel left out, either. "How much do your months last?"
"An eternity" Bruce mumbled unhappy, more to himself than the other two. He shook his head no. "We're friends" he settled and looked over to Friska. "For however long it takes you not to be scared." He sounded insecure, not because he was insecure, but because he was not used to have a say. "And ... no one sleeps alone" he added, because ... he might as well. "I would never let you sleep alone ... " he assured, nuzzling Jaal reassuringly.
"Thank you, Bruce." Jaal gave him a loving hug, one which he hoped it let him know how much he appreciated this. "Thanks a lot, really." He loosened the hug a little, then cupped his cheek. "You're truly the best." He looked at Friska, a little worried. "I don't want to make you feel umcomfortable, Friska. I know this might be a lot to take in for you, but I can assure you, I'm as friendly as I can be. I only want Bruce to be happy. And I'm willing to do my best so you're happy, too."
She shook her head no. "You mated with him first. As far as I'm concerned you're above me. Same with Bruce...I don't mind being bottom tier." She was assuming that's how it would work. "So, you don't have to worry about me. Same for you Bruce. So, if either of you start to feel like I'm in the way, or you both just need space don't hesitate to just ignore me, or tell me. Either way I'll understand." She was use to a hierarchy when it came to more then two individuals, and was defaulting on that.
So Bruce had no idea what that was about but ... It seemed ... they had some kind of understanding. "Um ... " He was deciding things. It was new and weird and now it was hard to get out of that again. "I ... want to sleep with the both of you in one bed. Just sleep" he assured, glancing at Friska for the moment. "Um. But the bed is where we have sex usually. We can do it elsewhere when it makes you uncomfortable. Right, Jaal?" he asked, holding his hand and looking up at him then.
"I'm fine with that. Sounds like the best course of action, at least until Friska feels comfortable to do more with both of us." Jaal nodded. To be true, it didn't change things all that much. As long as he could keep pleasing his mate, any place would be good for it.
She shook her head no. "You both keep the bedroom. I can sleep out here." She told them before getting a broom and brush pan before she began to sweep up the glass. It was one skill she had learned. After all, she had been used as a servant so this wasn't unusual for her.
"We have ... brainbots to do that" Bruce said, unsettled. When Friska was cleaning up, he felt like he would have to, too. His shoulders sank. "I can sleep alone. And you two together." At least then no one he cared for had to spend the night alone.
"Bruce, it's alright. This just gives me something to do, and things like this just help me calm down. And you should sleep with him. You've chosen him to mate with early, and it sounds like you like to do it over and over. And I don't want to take that away from you. I'm use to sleeping alone, so you don't have to worry about me. Plus I don't sleep until the sun rises. So I don't want anyone to be kept up because of me."
Right. Jaal went up at sunrise, Friska went to bed at sunrise ... Wait a minute. Bruce looked at Jaal.
Jaal stared at Bruce right at that moment and smiled. "This might work after all. Bruce can sleep with me at night, and rest with you by day. Everyone wins."
She nodded her head continuing to clean up. "If you both are alright with that." Though this meant she might not get to spend time with Bruce' kids.
"If we both are alright with that" Bruce repeated, staring at Jaal and holding his breath.
"I'm good with this agreement. We shall celebrate it!" Jaal clapped his hands and smiled. "I hope you like pancakes, Friska, because I was preparing some!"
She had problems eating solid food. It wasn't bad for her or anything. Her digestive system was just going to take long to digest them. "Alright. That's fine with me." Once she finished up she sat down away from them both not wanting to be in the way. After all, to her, Bruce seemed happier with Jaal then with her.
Bruce couldn't fathom his luck just. This could ... work, could it. "She doesn't like solid food so much. But she should love the maple sirup. Friska, did you ever have maple sirup?" he asked, torn between going to the kitchen and staying in the living room. So he just hovered in the doorway that connected the two.
She shook her head no. "We mostly had honey, sugar water, and other things like that." She hadn't even heard of this maple syrup. Was it supposed to be something that was sweet?
"In that case, you can have all the syrup. I gotta learn all your foods so I can prepare you a nice breakfast... or meal..." Jaal rubbed his chin, already thinking of soups and other liquid foods that she could like.
"Do you want to try?" Bruce asked, hoping to coax her to him and to the kitchen.
She nodded her head walking into the kitchen hoping that was an invitation to join them both in there.
