Hi! First some love: Love your name Love the way you curate your posts Love your kindness to others Love your playful writing style and I love that you are following little ole me Now I do have a question: so how is the laser going? I'm looking into that right now and I appreciated your description. You mentioned some before / after photos. Im grateful for your sharing any additional info... It's surprising how much happiness ridding myself of hair has brought :)
You are so sweet! Thanks for the love! I've been working on being better at accepting compliments so I'll just say thank you and blush a bit.
My laser is going really well. I was SO nervous when I started because most of what I read on the internet made it sound like my face would melt like the Nazi at the end of Raiders of the Lost Arc. I had convinced myself that I would be all burnt and scared up. Luckily, it was nothing like that. Like I said earlier, it stings while it's happening, and there is some redness right after, but that all goes away and I look pretty normal about ten minutes after.
I've been moisturizing every morning and exfoliating a few times a week. (I got this really great stuff for that, you can get it at CVS or this link and that's been taking care of me very well.
My evaluation went well, but the price was a bit like negotiating for a car. He started high, I started low and we met somewhere in the middle. In fact, I was prepared to walk away, but he offered to lower it further if I would do before and after photos for him. Of my face of course ...
I was also worried that I would look patchy since my skin tone is pretty light and my hair is really dark, you can see it through my skin. While I do have a bit of a patchy look, it's not been noticed by anyone (that I can tell) and I use a loose translucent powder on my face that does a pretty good job of covering that up while still allowing me to pass male at work.
I'm set to go for 7 total treatments and with the amount of hair reduction I've had over these three visits, I'm pretty optimistic that they will be able to get rid of all the dark hair on my face. I have quite a few gray hairs, because this girl is about to hit her 40s, but I'm waiting to see if my hair growth is affected at all when I start HRT and if not, I'll probably start looking into electrolysis to get rid of those. I'm not too worried about them right now, because my gray hairs are very white, and unless I go a day without shaving they don't really show up until the next day.
That's all I can think of right now, if you have any other specific questions, I'd be happy to answer them and I'll get those photos put together and uploaded here this weekend and I'll tag you in them so they are easy to find.
