It really is something how the 2015 Lolilo fandom had such intense Pedrazar and Winterking goggles on that a lot of us totally missed how Freddie is obviously into Kit and losing her mind about it throughout “FFFRIENDS”, and Kit spends the whole episode aware of and quietly amused/charmed by Freddie’s nerves around him. Like. Fritso was Right There.

The Flatmates, Getting an IV or Blood Draw or Infusion

Peter: wishes he’d had access to banana bags when he was in the dark hungover place first semester of uni. Despite this wish, he does faint at the sight of blood, so it might not have helped as much as you’d think. Will muscle through by looking the other way and engaging the tech/nurse in conversation about sports or theater. His voice is Not Shaking while he does so. He has a Totally Normal, Non-Vice Grip on his boyfriend’s hand, if Balth is with him.

Freddie: goes very pale, sits very stiffly, recites political theory in her head until it’s over. Criticizes the tech’s/nurse’s ability to find a vein despite having gone to less than zero medical school herself. Refuses to allow Kit in the room with her because he can’t be allowed to see her weak. Is an unholy terror the rest of the day because she Must Regain Control. Over her body and everything else.

Ben: Is excited for the free snacks. Has very temperamental veins and bleeds too much, gets a little woozy but stays impressively cheerful. If Beatrice is with him, he holds her hand the whole time. If she’s not, he sends her text updates, often in the form of silly memes.

Balthazar: chillest, quietest patient ever. Nurses ask him 500 times if he needs anything, and he always says he’s fine. They aren’t sure they believe him, so they keep asking. He prefers not to have Peter in the room during the procedure, but goes home and cuddles with him for an hour afterwards.

It’s really interesting that the morning after BALTHDAY, Freddie is already so so anxious about getting control back, keeping the flat together. She should still be on cloud nine after last night- or, a person who doesn’t have either an anxiety disorder or OCD would be able to be on cloud nine.

I’m going to find the post so I can credit the person who first noticed this, but in Aftermath, Freddie is wearing the blue and white shirt that Kitso was wearing last night at the party. (Edit: Kit wears the shirt in Feathers, a still-upcoming episode. So maybe it is Freddie’s and Kit borrowed it from her at some point. But I like the idea that she put on his shirt after they spent Balthday night together and then gave it back sometime before Feathers.) That means Freddie and Kit almost certainly snuck off and hooked up at the party. She finally got to be with the guy she’s been pining for. And she doesn’t get to enjoy it because she’s so anxious about the flat. Maybe she was able to compartmentalize when her flatmates were out of her sight, so she did enjoy her time with Kit, and then the anxiety and need for control came back the next morning when she woke up and realized the rules were back on and that now the flatmates would be more tempted to break them? That seems the most likely scenario, because we know she still likes Kit, so it can’t be that being with him went badly or showed her they aren’t compatible.

I really feel for Kit. The girl he’s been talking to finally lets her guard down and just enjoys being with him for a night, and maybe he hopes, in his heart of hearts, that this night together will be enough to get her to drop her rules and choose him. And in the cold light of day, she doesn’t choose him. He’s alone, in the tent, shirtless and cold. With no end to the rules in sight.

Kitso Harper is the cutest person in the world.

Just imagine Freddie watching this video and going “Oh. Oh no. He’s even cute when his mouth is full of marshmallows. I am so screwed.”

A real bait and switch here, we’re being primed to see this as Freddie asking Balth about his potential date, but in reality… 😉

Freddie and Kit’s dating announcement was very cute. I don’t think we ever got a kiss from them, which is a little odd for one of the three main couples. But I love how chill they are, and how now that Freddie is being herself and not trying too hard like in her note from Gifts, they can finally just be comfortable and happy together with no pressure.

I can’t find any posts about Coffee Fiend to reblog on the lolilodaily blog. No gifsets, no text posts, nothing. And I think that’s a shame. It’s a cute song! It should have at least a little fan engagement.
