Finished my third piece for #FRobinMonth2022 for @frobinfandays ! Franky has been on Karakuri Island for 3 hours and already misses Robin, so he’s regaling Kitton and his grandpa about Enies Lobby. I hope you like it! ID under the cut! Be safe💙💜
[Image ID start:
(Characters from the anime/manga One Piece.) Franky is tearing up while playing guitar as he sits across the table from Kitton (right) and Kitton’s grandfather (left) whom are both obscured by chairs. Behind Franky is a dreamy portrait of Nico Robin, surrounded by petals, clouds and sparkles. She looks ahead with hope in her eye, and her cheeks, eyelids and nose are blushed as if she had been recently crying.
Second entry for the FRobinMonth2022 over at @frobinfandays
It's not the best work but maybe it is enough to help you paint a picture in your mind of Franky and Robin dancing under the fairy lights to some romantic tune.

"Franky? Is everything alright?" Usopp asked while entering the shipwright's workshop with a worried frown on his face.
"You seem a little... anxious." He added noticing the way the cyborg checked the clock on the wall every few seconds.
"What?... No... Yeah... I'm... I'm fine." Franky replied with a brief smile, trying to appear as chill as possible.
"If you say so... Why did you call me?" Usopp asked sitting in front of Franky, his eyes studying the cyborg's expression as if he was trying to read the other man's mind.
"I'm finally doing it, my friend!" Franky answered too excited to be able to cover it. "But I need you to help me find something first." He added closing the distance between both of them. The flicker in the cyborg's eyes told Usopp he was much likely going to regret helping him.
"You know we will be arriving at the next island in half an hour, right?" Franky whispered. His gaze locked on his friend. "I've heard this place has the most beautiful flowers in the whole world, and I need you to help me find the best of them." The cyborg concluded and waited for his friend to answer. His legs bounced lightly as he did.
"What? Why do you need flowers?" Usopp couldn't help but raise his voice in a mixture of surprise and confusion. Then it hit him. Oh...
"Is it because of Robin?" Usopp's voice was now barely audible. "Are you gonna give her flowers?"
"Yeah, but not only that. I'm finally confessing my feelings to her." Franky replied with a smug smile on his lips, before letting out a long sigh as he rested his back on the sofa.
"WHAT!?"
"Shhhh!"
*****
"No, you don't get it! They are not suuuper enough." The cyborg said the flower pot back on the display table with slight disdain. A hint of growing desperation in his voice.
"I still think we should have brought Nami with us." The sniper said crossing his arms in front of him. His feet were already hurting from walking all day. "You know they're very close friends... Even Chopper would have been of more help!" He was starting to sound desperate too.
"But you are my friend..." Franky made a pause, looking at Usopp with his best puppy-dog eyes.
"Fine." The sniper sighed after a moment, letting his arms fall to his sides. "We'll keep on searching... But only on this street!" He added pointing his index to Franky's face for emphasis.
"Suuuperrr!" The cyborg replied throwing an arm around Usopp's shoulder before they left to the next florist shop.
*****
"Okay. This is it, Franky," Usopp said tiredly dragging his feet. He was so tired he could fall asleep right there on the cold floor. "I'm sorry, but this is the last shop we're checking today." He added while opening the door.
Both men stepped inside the shop and did the same thing they had been doing the whole day: Usopp would check a side of the store and Franky the other. Once one of them found a pot of promising-looking flowers, they would call the other and ask for a second opinion.
After the first two hours, all the flowers started to look the same to the sniper. He was tired and hungry, but wouldn't forget himself if he gave up so early. After all, he always thought Franky and Robin would make a good couple and was more than happy to help it become true.
"Hey, Franky! Check this out!" Usopp finally called when he found a group of flowers he had never seen before. Maybe it was his tired brain playing tricks on him, but he could swear each flower was changing colors to the rhythm of the faint melody coming from the speakers distributed around the place. The cyborg appeared by his side a second later.
"Suuuperrr!" The sudden victory yell coming from Franky had the same effect on the sniper as a cold shower after three cups of coffee; he was alert now. A group of customers turned their heads around to meet them with disapproving gazes.
"You found them!" The cyborg yelled again, lifting the sniper from the floor and squeezing him between his arms. "I owe you one, my friend."
"So... You got the flowers... What's... next?" Usopp asked while trying to free himself from the cyborg's tight embrace.
"Well. First, I'm gonna invite her to go for a walk; maybe buy her a coffee at the town's square." Franky said putting Usopp down. "Then, when the right time comes, I will give her the flowers and tell her how I feel." The cyborg concluded and a shiver traveled down his spine. Saying his plan out loud made him feel slightly dizzy. He couldn't elude it anymore. It was finally going to happen.
"It will be alright, Franky," Usopp said noticing his friend's uneasiness. "I'm sure Robin feels the same about you. I mean, you guys flirt all the time. Isn't it obvious enough?" He added with a smile while patting the cyborg's shoulder.

The crew was staying at a modest beach house until the Log Pose was done resetting. It was a small place with two big bedrooms, a wide balcony overlooking the sea, a narrow kitchen, a nicely illuminated bathroom, and a cozy living room.
After laying the now asleep Usopp on a sofa, Franky found Robin admiring the sunset from the balcony.
"Hi, Robin," Franky said casually leaning against the rail next to the archaeologist. Her eyes moved from the ocean to the cyborg, and her lips curved in a warm smile.
"Hi, Franky," She replied softly. Her tender tone combined with her big blue eyes staring at him made the cyborg weak in the knees.
"I was wondering... Do you have any plans for tomorrow evening?" Franky asked while having a hard time controlling his racing heart. Please say no. Please. The cyborg thought to himself as he waited for an answer.
"Maybe," Robin replied a little too fast for Franky's liking. "Since we will be staying on this island for only two days I wanted to go out and explore the woods," Robin added. "I'm not sure when I will be back."
Shit. Franky felt the sudden need to sit on the floor and cry.
"Do you wanna come with me?" Robin asked moving closer until their arms were lightly touching. Her eyes moved back to the ocean but her attention remained focused on the man beside her.
"I'd love to." Franky couldn't help but let out a relieved sigh.

Right after breakfast, Franky and Robin were ready to start their adventure. The archaeologist took a small backpack with a notebook, a couple of art supplies, and a bottle of water. Franky was in charge of carrying their lunches in his bag; attached to it was also a mysterious metal box he told everyone contained a set of carpenters tools. He was surprised as the explanation did keep his friends from sneaking a look inside.
"You look stunning," Franky said to Robin once they were outside and the bright sunshine brought out the archeologist's colorful but classy outfit. The wind played softly with her long silky black hair and the cyborg couldn't help but stare at Robin as if he was witnessing the birth of a goddess.
"Thanks, Franky," Robin replied blushing at the cyborg's words. "You look very handsome as well," she added with a wink. This time it was Franky's turn to blush.
A few moments later they reached the limit of the woods. The vibrant green shades of the trees contrasted beautifully with the bright blue sky, and they both stood there for a minute in complete awe.
"Let's go," Robin finally broke the silence, giving Franky's arm a gentle squeeze before walking towards the trees. The cyborg shuddered at her touch.
"Sure," Franky managed to say while resisting the urge to hold Robin's hand.
A few hours later they were so deep in the woods that no sound coming from the lively city could reach them. It felt so peaceful and intimate that Franky couldn't help but close his eyes and take a deep breath. He was ready to expose his heart to the woman of his dreams.
"Is everything alright, Franky?" Robin asked softly, turning around to look at the cyborg.
"Yeah... Would you like to have lunch now?" He offered. Robin nodded with a soft smile and Franky began spreading their picnic blanket.
They ate in silence for a while, sharing flirty looks and warm smiles every now and then. Franky waited until they were done eating, took the metal box in his hands and another deep breath, then cleared his throat.
"Franky, what's wrong?" Robin's worried gaze met his eyes and the cyborg smiled softly, telling her there was no reason to worry.
"Robin," Franky said holding the box tighter. "There's something I wanna tell you," His voice sounded calmer than he thought it would. Robin remained silent. Her eyes never left him.
"I never thought I would feel this way..." Franky said. "Never thought I would meet someone like you," He continued after a long pause trying to fight back his tears.
"Robin, you are the woman of my dreams, and I've... I've fallen head over heels for you." He concluded. His stomach was in knots, but he felt strangely weightless.
"Franky... I..." Robin felt suddenly overwhelmed by her own feelings and tears began running down his cheeks. She never thought of finding someone who could understand her as deeply as Franky did, and she felt like exploding from happiness when she heard the cyborg's confession.
"I've fallen for you too." She finally said and the day suddenly became brighter for the two of them.
"Suuuuperrrrr!" Franky yelled with tears in his eyes before opening the metal box, revealing the most beautiful flowers Robin had ever seen.
"So..." The cyborg said grinning from ear to ear. "Would you like to be my girlfriend?"
"Of course I do!" Robin answered with a laugh before leaning forward until her lips met Franky's.
"You just made me the happiest man on earth." Franky broke the kiss to take Robin in his arms and hold her tightly. They remained silent for a while wearing a peaceful smile on their faces and forgetting about the world around them.
