Regarding Fake Peppino, I like to think that when he's feeling content or sleeping he makes little froggy croaking sounds.

For instance, him being curled up in a ball and snoozing: "Snore, *croak*"

In another scenario, him receiving pets and/or scratches from one of the few people he'll let have physical contact, and he purrs while letting out happy little ribbits.
