Well, after talking with and getting dragged back from the Afterlife by Kaiba, Atem knew there was one person he needed to go see. And if there was one place he could trust to find this person, it would be at their his grandfather’s game shop.
Luckily with Kaiba’s ever “Always thinking one step ahead” attitude, he already had a change of clothes for Atem waiting to more… fully integrate him into the modern times. After all, walking around like an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh was… bound to get a lot of stares. He had changed into a more simple black tank top, dark wash jeans, and black sneakers. He slides on a light weight black jacket, looking himself in the mirror before deciding on brushing his hair back some and tying it back. He still wore a lot of his usual golden jewelry, a couple of rings, his earrings, a small golden chain around his neck and a few loose bracelets on his wrists. Once he had approved his appearance, he went to his next destination.
If Atem was right in his assumption, this would likely be a slower time of the day for the game shop, which would mean he’d more likely have Yugi’s full attention. That was the hope at least considering he didn’t want to show up and end up taking him away from work. He steps up to the door hesitating for just a moment, a feeling of doubt and dread suddenly flooding his senses. What if Yugi was mad at him for leaving? What if Yugi didn’t want to see him back after all? Those types of thoughts creep into his mind as his hand hovers in front of the door. Taking a moment to strengthen his resolve, he then pushes open the door, greeted with a familiar chime that would announce a new arrival to the store. He looks outward, certain he hears the familiar greeting. And after stepping around and more fully into the shop, he sees him and his smile spreads over his face.
“…Yugi. It’s been a long, my friend.”
