If not looked after, it will eventually disintegrate. The rear crossmember of defenders are notorious for being moisture traps, and as previously mentioned they will disappear and suddenly you'll be hit with a heft bill to replace.  Products used; Rust Treatment: Hammerite Rust Remover Gel  Primer: U-POL Acid #8 Etch Primer Paint: Hammerite Satin Finish Black Tape: Frog Tape I’m not overly happy with the finish, but that is the result of spraying in 32 degree heat. The paint partially atomises before hitting the primer so you end up with an uneven coat. I also remove the tow frame an relocated the towing electrics which give a more simplistic look.
