Your mother and I are more than excited to finally meet you. It seemed like just yesterday I found out about you. We couldn’t have been happier, even more so now that we know about your brother. The two of you were a surprise, but more than that. I never knew happiness until I felt you move. Until I saw your heartbeat and watched you grow. I thought that I had everything I could have ever wanted, but I was wrong. You two are more than we could have ever dreamed of. I will try with all my heart to give you two the world. I want to be the best father I can be for you. I’m not sure when you’ll be reading this, or where you’ll be at in life. But I hope that you’re strong and healthy and beautiful. I know you will be beautiful, you are your mothers daughter after all. We both love you more than anything, even before we’ve met you. We already know that you’re special. I hope that you smile more than you cry, but if you do know that I’ll always be there for you. The only advice that I want to give you is this… don’t be afraid to be open with yourself, okay? It’s okay to be vulnerable, and I promise that at some point you’ll know how to balance it well. And remember, the bad days are never as bad as they seem. You have an amazing mother, who I was lucky enough to have. If it wasn’t for her, I would never be writing this letter to you.
