We don't talk enough about how in S3E6 (herogasm) homelander straight up tried to kill butcher. No more toying with him by saving him from an explosion or kidnapping his wife or showing up at his house or other unconventional forms of torture, just straight up lasered his ass—without knowing he was on temp v, meaning he genuinely thought he was gonna kill him.
