Archaic Rapture was released last year back in March, but is still a great current tool for realizing lessons and admitting truths, be it for yourself or others. My cover of "Simply Beautiful" is now 3 years old today! On November 30th, 2012 I released this tune to celebrate "From Her Eyes" turning 2 years old! I recorded it with the help of my two wonderful guitarist friends in the back of my old house in Berkeley and released it within 4 days of recording it. This tune has always been one of my favorite Al Green numbers and I wanted to originally record it for "From Her Eyes" but I didn't finish it in time back in 2010! Thank you to all the blogs that showed love to this release as well as "From Her Eyes" and thank you to all the supporters that have remained patient while I developed new material. I feel so very grateful to experience something so special with you all through creating music. Happy 5 Year Anniversary "From Her Eyes"!! It's amazing, scary, thrilling and special that my very first release came out on November 30th, 2010. I had no clue what I was doing, but had help from people that truly believed in me who guided me in the direction on being self sufficient with my craft. A friend let me borrow his equipment to record on so I could learn Protools, another friend helped me co-produce, and many other friends played their instruments to help create how my heart felt about some of my favorite tunes originally recorded by men. I learned so much through that process, but most of all I learned that I am capable of creating something from nothing. Having your own strong vision within a supportive community is simply magic. It all led me to the place I am now and there is no way I plan on walking away from my ongoing progress. Thank you to EVERYONE that supported "From Her Eyes" and it's release. Thank you to everyone who watched all my music videos from the EP. Thank you to everyone who came to the shows I booked off the strength of the EP.
