After his argument with Emmaline, he was still angry and needed to cool off. His level of stress wasn’t suited for an evening like this. If only had hadn’t seen what happened in that box. If only he could ignore it. Though the gang he felt safe in for so many years suddenly changed, and he didn’t know what to do. Suddenly the storm became too much, and he heard the crash from the ballroom. His head turned and before he was able to make it back, the doorway was blocked form debris. His mind immediately went to Emmaline. With panic, he ran back and trying to make his way back into the venue, he was foolish to have left her in the first place. He tried to dig through, though there wasn’t any use, suddenly he heard gunshots, not knowing exactly where they were coming from, though knowing it wasn’t from in the venue. He quickly found shelter and pulled his phone to try and reach his girlfriend. He tried calling, “Emmaline?” He spoke through the deadline. Soon realizing his cell service was out due to the storm, he could only feel his heart tighten. “Fuck.” He cursed, wanting to throw his phone across the hallways.
