Owen was just about to turn and leave, a bit disheartened that his gesture didnât go over as he had hoped when Ben called out to him and caused him to pause where he stood. âItâs okay I probably shouldnât have just shown up here. I honestly didnât mean to invade your privacy.â He offered. âHe did.â Owen confirmed with a nod. âThatâs actually why Iâm here.â He admitted âBelieve it or not Liam and I went through something a little similar not too long ago and I know how hard it was for me so I figured you could maybe use some extra kindness.â Owen said with a shrug. âThat actually sounds lovely, as long as youâre sure itâs not too much of an imposition of course.â He said as he carefully picked up the food he had set down.
Hearing his nephews boyfriendâs apology, he felt a pit in his stomach, he felt his emotions had been out of whack since Emmaline left. If or perhaps, when Liam or his sister hears about his rude reaction to someone who could very well be part of the family some day, heâd get a scolding no matter what. A strong worry of his, would be Liam thinking he hated his boyfriend, or thinking he disapproved his way of life, which couldnât be further from the truth. âYou didnât, I promise.â He spoke honestly, as he pushed open the door for him to enter his and Emmalineâs home. Something Ben didnât expect was the otherâs admittance to his and Liamâs fallout, âYou really do have a heart of gold.â He stated with a small chuckle as he walked into his home, hoping Owen would follow behind. âI think I remember when you and Liam were on the outs. He definitely wasnât doing well those couple of days that I saw him. I can imagine you werenât any better.âÂ
