“By ‘drive system’ do you mean that old rocket booster strapped to the back?”
“Hey, show a little respect. That’s primo Cosmodrome salvage, that is. Can’t get anything like that anymore without really pissing off Zavala, or resorting to certain unsavory channels.”
“But it is an old booster rocket, no?”
“The nozzle from one. High-end Golden Age metamaterials, extremely high-performance stuff meant for heavy-duty spacecraft. Pipe this overdraft engine through this sucker and FROOSH!”
“Froosh?”
“I’m tellin’ ya. Thing has kick.”
“Doesn’t sound luxurious, really. Just dangerous.”
“My friend, when you’re on the move—or on the run... but nevermind—speed is the greatest luxury. Nobody knew that better than Cayde.”
