evidently, oscar is going to have a friend that he hangs out with, possibly smokes with, confides in, that kind of thing. whether that's a childhood best friend who has alot in common with oscar, or a more recent friend who puts up with him, is entirely up to the player! aria

oscar's a messed up little guy, who is actualy really simple. his grudges are mostly held towards his family and the kids that called him a geek in primary school. this friend, or not-friend, would be the one person he feels like he could trust, and talk to about anything. lilian

let's be real, it's oscar. he speaks his mind most the time, and a lot of people aren't going to like him. in a little town like frostford, it's bound to be that he has one or two people with whom he has a mutual disliking to.

the crush

okay so he's a little outspoken, and rude, but oscar's a normal guy, and normal guys have crushes. whether it's newly formed like a 'wow she's amazing who are they' kind of crush or an old 'damn i've liked them since high school' kind of crush, oscar's all down for it. savannah

the one that got away

the ex, in simple terms. no doubt in heaven or hell that oscar rosenburg will have had an ex. how they started and how they ended, and any feelings that may be left with the ending, can be worked out when someone (or multiple people) take this role. the whole 'first love' thing could also be worked into this connection.

the student

despite what some may think, oscar's a secret braniac. while in school, most - if not all - teachers knew about his mental capabilities and would've more than likely asked him to tutor a few other students. to keep up his 'cool-ish guy' facade, this would've probably been a secret tutoring session, where he'd genuinely allow himself to feel intelligent.

friends

everyone needs a friend or two, whether you speak once in a while, or like a few things on their social media, oscar will definitely have a few friends. this isn't quite 'best, confide in, trust with his life' friend, but more of a 'yes, you're awesome, let's do things and hang out' friend. they're cool friends. he'd love a few friends.

Wanted Connections

nathaniel has always been the pretty boy. being an *only* child he’s always gotten what he’s wanted. his parents handed the boy whatever they wanted, except for their own attention. so nate grew up alone, learning the hard way that money can’t buy happiness. he’s stubborn and was desperate to get his parent’s attention. the only way he knew how to do it was to step out of line and get them to finally pay attention to him. new york is his home, only coming to frostford at the start of 2015. nate works at the star diner, so he’s probably had his share of meeting people in town. a lot of people know him as sadie james’ younger brother, but he is making a name for himself. growing up, he occasionally spent time in frostford with sadie and her dad when his parents got sick of him. so he might remember some people from before, but he never really made any connections until this year. initially nate didn’t want to stay, but now he can’t imagine leaving.

since the seventh grade, nate hasn’t gone on an actual date with a girl because of an embarrassing love poem that has caused him for an twelve year dry spell. not completely dry, just romantically. after years of trying, nate finally gave up. until out of the blue, Ophelia came along and changed the game. as they grew closer, nate couldn’t help but fall in love with her each time they hung out. finally he built up the courage to kiss her one weekend. now they’re stuck in a limbo of nate not wanting to ask her out because of what happened his seventh grade year. only the future will tell how their relationship plays out, but nate hopes that she’s in it for the long run.

sadie has always been nate’s older sister, his connection to frostford. she has been the reason for many of nate’s hard times with his mother. in her eyes, sadie was always the perfect child, so in his eyes she was perfect too. sadie’s bringing up was significantly different than nate’s and he’s so jealous of her for it. he wishes more than anything that he had the life she had growing up, so he fights with sadie even though she’s the only reason he’s in frostford to stay.

his mom only married his dad because she wanted the money. his dad only wanted a wife to have a son to take the family business over one day. though his dad didn’t have any intention of being faithful to his mother, cheating on her every chance that he got. eventually it came back in the ass to bite him, and bam, andrea was born. his dad paid off the girl’s mother to keep it quiet so robert could keep his good name. but andrea set out to find out who her brother was, and now nate loves his little sister more than his older one, and spites his father for keeping a baby sister from him after all of these years.

kyle is his best friend. without a doubt. he is the shawn to his cory. these two have only known each other for a short period of time, but they are the best of buds. they get along so well, nothing ever is awkward between them. nate can confide in kyle for any occassion, though things get kind of weird now that nate’s with ophelia.

this is a girl that nate sees around town. there’s something about her that attracts him that he can’t put his finger. he can talk to this girl for all hours of the night without fail. he can’t help but be curious about how she is. there’s an obvious connection between them, and nate’s curiosity might get the best of him when he’s with ophelia and it could cause a problem for him and phe with this girl who is in the middle.

alcohol and drugs have been a problem in nate’s past. his alcohol issue is still a problem even now, as drugs have slowly gotten out of his system. it wouldn’t take much for nate to go back spiraling down that path, it’s easy with his addictive and obsessive personality. the smallest dose would send the boy back, causing a lot of havoc on the progress that he’s already made.

everybody has a bartender that they can confide in. nate’s came in the form of matthew barnes, or matty boy as nate always liked to call him. matt knows nate’s deepest darkest secrets, and has known nate during his darkest times. one day, nate fully intends to turn the conversation around on the boy.

obviously, these are people he works with. nate prides himself with being close to his coworkers because you have to see them all day. he’s really good friends with everybody that he works with, that’s because the star diner staff is quiet possibly the best staff in all of frostford.

getting in trouble has always been nate’s thing. he came to frostford because of how much trouble he got in. though here in town, he hasn’t gotten in trouble. for him, it’s a miracle, but there has to be somebody in this town that can stir up that side of her personality, even in the smallest ways possible. nate will do pretty much anything he can to have a good time with this person.

it’s a small world, right? well this person would be somebody that nate used to have a fling with. keep in mind that he lived in new york, so your character would have to have at one point or another for this one to be applicable. they probably had a rocky past or just a bad time getting over each other since a fling is after all just that. if she came back into the picture, nate might be caught off guard, especially with his newly budding romance that he has.

this person would be very important in his life. since his father was never around, nate isn’t the best with male authority figures. as soon as nate finds somebody he can look up to, he might actually straighten out and respect somebody. he would eventually view this person as his own father since his was never one in the first place. late night talks about girls and how his day at work was. maybe even a game of catch just to complete it all since nate craves to have the father figure that his older sister had.

PLOTS & CONNECTIONS;

A little bit about Danny: He is not a Frostford native but he did move to town when he was twelve which means it has effectively been his home for twenty years; although he did move back to Michigan for four years to attend College after he graduated High School but he moved back to Frostford when he was roughly twenty three. You can find the bio here {x} . Also if you have any plots you personally see with Danny that aren't below, just feel free to hit me up. Danny loves people and so do I.

High School memories; These would be people that are close to Danny’s age and would have been in either his class back in High School or the grades surrounding him, meaning they would have had interactions at school and probably outside. They may have even played sport together or shared classes and could even reflect on the ‘old times’ just for fun. In general he probably does need to know more people his age as they may have had cool interactions as teens. {0/?}

The typical exes; These would be the ladies from Danny’s past. Whether they dated casually or seriously, they were still in a relationship with him for a certain amount of time. Now, it’s not easy to say whether these relationships went sour or simply didn’t work but Danny tries hard to maintain all bonds he has and keep on good terms but maybe they just couldn’t get past what went down between them. (This would be Danny’s adult relationships so between about the ages of 23 and 31 roughly). {1/4}

The High School sweetheart; Who didn’t have one, right? This lucky lady would be pretty close to Danny’s age and they could have been forced to break up due to Danny leaving the state or even just because they were too young or naive or maybe it was just life. {0/1}

The dude bros; Danny loves nothing more than to let off some steam every now and then. Even though his job doesn’t particularly work him up he still loves going out for several rounds of beers, a nice big dinner or even out into the surrounding landscape to hunt or fish. These people can be male or female but they’re the person Danny calls up when he just wants to go out and waste the day or night away with some good food and some chill activities. {1/3}

The drinking buddies; This one is pretty simple. These are the people Danny will happily invite round to his and offer access to several crates of beer. {0/2}

The nature lover; This is the person Danny bonds with over his passion for the beautiful Alabama landscape. If he fancies a walk or a run in the surrounding fields or a trip down to the river, he knows this person is usually up for it. {1/1}

The trouble-makers; Frostford isn’t notoriously a hectic town to deal with crime wise but every trouble has those who like to stir up a bit of trouble. Danny is a relaxed guy at the best of times but these are the couple of people he bumps into and playfully reminds not to put him through hell. {0/2}

The ‘fuck buddy’; It’s not like he planned for it to happen or anything but it did and now there’s no looking back, especially not with the way she treats him. {1/1}

These are some plots and connections I would love to have! This is Angie’s bio [x] if you want to read it! Basically, Angie is a Frostford native, with an overprotective mother and a father who she isn’t really close to, as well as an sister who’s in San Francisco. She’s really sweet and good-mannered but she can be really blunt (at times) and naive. And awfully competitive. But she’s kind, I swear. 

YOU’RE MY BEST FRIEND — can be a girl or a boy. she trust this person a lot, and they share everything together. angie may be closer to her sister more, but her best friend comes in a close second. 

BETTER THAN YOU  — like i said before, angie can be really competitive. she likes to think she’s great at stuff and she hates it when there’s someone who comes off as, well, better than her. this is open to anyone close to her age. she can compete with people from her track team, someone who has better grades than her or maybe just anyone who thinks they are better than angie.

I ADMIRE YOU  — someone she could look up to??? she could be impressed with their work or their way of life. open to anyone who is older than her.

HELLO NEIGHBORS  — since she lived in frostford all her life and the friendly person she is, she must knew her neighbors around.  she would totally give a helping hand if anyone needs it. the character could be annoyed by her presence or someone that likes her as a neighbor. or maybe she would be annoyed by them??? it can go both ways, my friend. 

LET’S JOG TOGETHER  — angie is on the track team, and she likes to run. so maybe she has a jogging buddy? somebody she ended up meeting in the park while she was jogging. open to anyone who likes jogging. [christian sawyer]

THE USUAL?  — angie works in the custard’s last stand, so maybe this could be anyone who enjoys frozen custards. every time they would come to the shop, angie would have a conversation with them. 

LET ME HELP YOU WITH THAT  — she can help tutor anyone with anything except calculus because she sucks at calculus. so yes, this is open to anyone who needs any subject lessons.

YOUR SECRET IS SAFE WITH ME  —  angie probably saw your character doing something they shouldn’t have, and made angie not tell anyone. it could even start a friendship. open to anyone, really. 

CRUSH CRUSH CRUSH  — when angie has a crush, it’s really horrible. she starts to get nervous around him and insecure, she regrets everything she says after she had said it. also, she has this stupid habit of liking people she couldn’t get. why. open to males.

W A N T E D     C O N N E C T I O N S / P L O T S;;

WHO YOU CHOOSE TO BE AROUND YOU LETS YOU KNOW WHO YOU TRUELY ARE. Bobbie has always been friendly. Not necessarily a full on bubble of sunshine and daisy’s, but she isn’t a total pessimist. She’s a people person and knows a great many people. But she is a very private person when it comes to her personal life or really letting people in and trusting them. There are only a select few people that she’d consider her close friends. These people know Bobbie better than anyone else. Maybe even herself.

Shooting Rang -- OPEN to all. Bobbie is a bit of a hothead sometimes (all the time, let’s be serious). So when she’s overly stressed (about life or the store or just in general) she likes to go out to the rang and fire off a couple shots at a target. This person doesn’t have to be overly knowledge with or around guns, but they don’t mind accompanying her to the rang to blow off some steam. Eat Your Feelings -- OPEN to females. Bobbie isn’t one for gossip, but sometimes she just can’t help it. She’s usually found venting either at the gun rang or a food joint, shoving in appetizer after appetizer as she grounds out the frustrations of the day. These stress relief sessions are reserved for her closest friends, mostly because she feels comfortable around them but also because she knows they either won’t take her shit and call her out on it, or agree with her. But these people will be completely honest with her. Down At Wharton Creek -- OPEN to all. It’s not uncommon to see Bobbie’s truck parked down by Wharton creek. Spending time in California for school made her appreciate the water, and while there are no beaches in Frostford, Wharton’s Creek will have to do. She’s an outdoors person for life even though she often jokes about her physical condition of being perpetually out of shape. Platonic Soulmate -- OPEN to males. He will be someone around Bobbie’s age, whom she went to high school with that has always been there for her and her for him. There was obvious tension between the two when she went off to college, but now that she’s back it’s like they’ve fallen into old times. Of course they have their arguments, but they’re as close as ever.

IT’S BETTER TO HAVE LOVED AND LOST THAN TO HAVE NEVER LOVED AT ALL. Bobbie has tried with all her might to never get caught in a vulnerable situation, but shit does happen. She’s caught herself falling in (and out) of love. It terrifies her, but she can also see the good in it as well. While she does have a hard time letting people close, it has been known to happen.

Childhood Crush -- OPEN to males. Bobbie has always had a soft spot for this guy and when she made the decision to leave for college he was one of the main reasons for her to stay. They get along surprisingly well, but time has passed and Bobbie’s feelings have moved on. They can easily joke about her fawning and maybe he even admits to knowing it, but they two are completely over each other. For now. One Night Stand -- OPEN to males. Bobbie met this guy at the local bar and circumstances presented themselves. Maybe there was a big sporting event on the TV or it was a holiday, but one thing lead to another (with the help of alcohol, of course) and before long they were back at his place. The next morning Bobbie snuck out before he awoke. It’s safe to say that things are exponentially awkward between these two.  Flirtation -- OPEN to males. The friendship between these two is light and they love to take small jabs at the other.  An outside bystander would call it flirtation, but they would deny it and call it friendship. It’s never anything more than that and it never escalated, but the two makes each other laugh and put each other at ease. While they wouldn’t be the first person one would call if something went wrong, they know that they could call them if need be.

A FORTUNATE STROKE OF SERENDIPITY. Bobbie isn’t a real believer of fate or chance, but there are certain things that happen in life that just can’t be ignored. Even she can admit that.

Hide and Go Seek -- OPEN to all, [0/1]. A walk turns into a town wide (at least Bobbie would like to think her problems are that important) dog hunt when Cooper gets free of his leash. This person either catches him or volunteers to help her search for her lost pup.

Practice Makes Perfect -- OPEN to all, [0/1]. A customer comes into the store to show interest in buying and/or learning more about firearms. Bobbie is obviously open to helping and also teaching said person how to shoot.

It’s Just a Scratch -- OPEN to all, [0/1]. Bobbie is out at Wharton’s Creek with Cooper and slips. A (tbd injury) ensues and she’s stranded there. Someone visiting the Creek hears Cooper’s yelps for help and comes a runnin’.
