pale hans au idea- but if pale gets rings for he hand dream, they are either connected by magic so that they can only go about idk 7 feet away from eachother, or they are connected by a small chain

so this prevents dream from ever escaping, but the question would be if he even wants to

i want to make pale redeemable at some point but g a w d i love how morally grey he is

anyways, if he somehow ended up pulled into the epic poly, how would dream feel? would he still be as hopelessly in love with him? or would nm have scared him into fearing pale?

I think it depends on what happens in the paledream au. I remember talking about how Dream probably wouldn't have been proposed to, and thus nightmare wouldn't have gotten upset. And because of that dream never would've met epic.

But let's say, for some reason cross and epic get involved in the whole "Prince Pale kidnaped Prince Dream" ordeal, like they're discreet enough that Pale wouldn't realize Nightmare snuck spies into Pale's kingdom. During that Dream would still be very in love with Pale. Cross and Epic would probably have to kidnap the kidnapped Dream. During that time epic would rizz Dream up. (Dream would be guilty cause he's a married man, but no one can resist the rizz.) Epic would then rizz up nightmare (no mtt or even ink would probably exist here). So then we would have these four in a relationship.

Pale would obviously get upset and go to RE-kidnap dream. But dream wouldn't want to go cause now he's got boyfriends. So he'd be like, "come be boyfriends w/ my boyfriends 🥺" and Pale would be like "meh, I still get dream so ig this is fine. Time to fake being in love with Epic"

Nightmare is obviously furious, he doesn't want his brother's KIDNAPPER in the polycule!!!

And then Epic "rizzes" Pale up. Pale acts like he fell in love, and so Nightmare allows it. (Nightmare will always keep a close eye on Pale though. Never fully trusting him. And also not letting him cuddle dream during the poly cuddle times)

Pale hans au-

Nm tries to attack pale but w how the wedding rings work or whatever, he accidentally hits dream, turning him to stone and all that. But this also locks Pale into place w/ the ring-

So pale’s stuck, without his source of happiness

Dream would likely have actually ended up jumping in front of Pale.

I mean, pale is the first person to show interest and love and care for him in years. He can't afford loosing something like that. Not again.

So he would jump in front of Pale to protect him, and he would get struck in the soul.

The process would be slow. Dream slowly turning to stone. And Pale would try everything he could to stop the stone from expanding.

Pale would constantly have his castle lit, always having a light on him so dream will never be left in the dark (since that's when it gets worse) and the thing is, it works! Kinda.

Pale slows down the process. Something that, in the story, lasts a couple day has now been slowed down to almost a couple months. Sadly, that's torture for Dream.

Dream is slowly loosing his ability to walk, and to move his joints. Eventually the stone covers his mouth, making him both unable to talk, and unable to eat.

Pale selfishly keeps Dream surrounded by light though. Sure, Dream is suffering, but he's still alive! So Pale still has his positivity. His positivity is still there with him.....

Until Dream isn't of course.

Dream ended up turning completely into stone in the middle of the night. Pale woke up, and felt the lack of emotions he felt before he met Dream. He lays with Dream, hoping to feel his warmth that made him oh so happy once before.....
