sorry i saw your tag on the frozen grapes post. glad to find another frozen corn truther. i have gotten so much shit for it. people act like i told them i eat drywall. i just pour a mug full of frozen corn from the bag and go to town. but yeah sorry got a little excited seeing that im not alone in this world. ♡

people are so weird about food and especially vegetables.....frozen corn is delightful. corn is a common dessert food in some places, even in the usa, and when you snack on a little frozen kernel and realize how nice it is you really get it.

Ok it has come to my attention that some people don’t know about frozen corn, so here’s what it looks like:

It comes in a bag like this, green giant is one of the most popular and available brands here in Canada.

Then the corn is just whole kernels frozen. They were probably blanched, but they’re not really cooked. I add a handful of this to lots of dishes: soup, salsa, casserole, etc. we also eat it as a side dish just by boiling for 1-2 min and then topping with butter and salt/pepper.

I also always keep frozen peas and green beans and broccoli in my freezer (same idea) to add to meals since fresh veggies (especially in winter) are too expensive. Literally the only veggies I buy fresh are onions, potatoes, carrots, fresh greens like spinach and lettuce, and peppers. Frozen veggies are very cheap here and since they are frozen right after being picked super nutritious.

no but it sound tasty and I think this is a dessert I have heard of before but can't remember where or when. I know "corn pudding" is a thing but I've not had that either
