Do you think it would be possible to create a map showing the other kingdoms mentioned in the series? I would love to see a map showing the kingdom of Corona from Tangled alongside the kingdom of Arendelle. (There are many maps of the kingdom of Corona in the Tangled series.) Where do you think it would be located, and what is the distance between Arendelle and Corona?
Thank you for your question!
Not much has changed about the known Frozen kingdoms since our last post on this topic from May of 2025 (which you can find here) but we have made an updated map that covers the canon-ish locations.
Based on the originals from Frozen Kingdom and Frozen: Live at the Hyperion:
Nations of the Frozenverse
Thanks to supplemental story-material (novels, books, comics, etc.), we know the following nations must be very close neighbours of Arendelle:
Akerselva - Shares a bridge with Arendelle so they are likely separated by a river. Has a baron and baroness.
Kingdom of Snoob - Shares a land border with Arendelle and can be reached in around one day. Kai, the castle overseer, and his brother Karl are from here. Shown to have Scandinavian culture very similar to Arendelle. Has a baron and baroness.
Kingdom of Vassar - A valued ally in trade and military for Arendelle. Has a coastline and a port. Ruled by Queen Runa. Possibly inspired by Sweden.
Kingdom of Vesterland (the "West land") - Separated from Arendelle by a river but reachable by land in under a day. Had a territorial dispute with Arendelle over an area called the Western Woods soon after Frozen. Ruled by King Jonas.
The following nations are likely European with some connections with Arendelle:
Blakeston - Status and location unknown (may not even be a kingdom). Has a duke.
Blavenia - Has (bad) financial connections with The Southern Isles. Possibly inspired by Slovenia (name) or Spain. The dignitary of Spain (Frozen) and Blavenia (A Frozen Heart) is the same character.
Bokmål - Status and location unknown (may not even be a kingdom). Ruled by lords.
Kingdom of Bølgete - Island kingdom with few forests looking to trade timber with Arendelle. Ruled by Queen Adelheid. Possibly based on the islands of the North Sea.
Bordignon - Trading partner of Arendelle. Possibly based on France (likely named after Bordeaux + Avignon).
Kingdom of Brinnon - Important trade partner of Arendelle. "Modern" and "large" kingdom with (for the era) advanced technology, trains and large cities. Reachable by ship in an unspecified amount of time. Ruled by Queen Valorai. Based on England.
Kingdom of Corona - Home of Rapunzel and Eugene. Supposedly inspired by France and Germany. Located somewhere in modern-day France according to Tangled: The Series.
Frederborg - Trading partner of Arendelle. Ruled by a marquis. Possibly named after the city of Fredensborg in Denmark.
Kongsberg - Very powerful nation. Ruled by the Lord of Kongsberg who is "too powerful" for Hans to win over during his schemes in Frozen. Possibly inspired by Prussia and its capital Königsberg or the Norwegian city Kongsberg.
Ødemark Isle - Remote island located far north of Arendelle, possibly a colony of Arendelle. Reachable by ship in three days. Could be inspired by Iceland or Svalbard. Ruled by a man named Reid who was a good friend of Agnarr.
Riverland - Neighbour of The Southern Isles.
Kingdom of Royaume - Location unknown. Could be inspired by France as "royaume" is French for "kingdom".
Sankershus - Status unknown (varies with source material). Relatively close to Arendelle. Reachable by ship in two days along the Skiftende River.
Tikaani - Trade partner of Arendelle. Island nation located in the far north. Ruled by a council of village elders. Inspired by Inuit culture.
Kingdom of Torres - Location unknown. Could be inspired by Spain. "Torres" is Spanish for "towers".
Kingdom of Vakretta - Trade partner of Arendelle. Reachable by ship in two days. Shown to have weather and architecture very similar to Arendelle. Home of Prince Wils. Possibly inspired by Scotland or Germany. The dignitary of Germany (Frozen) and Vakretta (A Frozen Heart) is the same character. Check out my full analysis of this kingdom here.
The following nations (interpreted from their implied culture) are likely located much farther away:
Kingdom of Chatho - Trade partner of Arendelle. Tropical kingdom inspired by eastern Asia reachable by sea in an unspecified number of days. Ruled by Queen Colisa.
Kingdom of Eldora - Hot desert kingdom reachable by sea in an unspecified number of days. Possibly inspired by Morocco when it was a French colony. The dignitary of France (Frozen) and Eldora (A Frozen Heart) is the same character. Ruled by Queen Marisol.
Kingdom of Selinia - "Faraway kingdom" with endless summer and no snow. Home of Princess Adelaide (likely named after the city with the same name in Australia).
Kingdom of Yuwabe - African kingdom "half across the world" with jungle, lions and antelopes. Ruled by Queen Maghereb (most likely named after Maghreb, the western part of the Arab world).
Kingdom of Zaria - Trade partner of Arendelle. Known for its beautiful gardens and exotic plants. Hot. Ruled by King Stebor and Queen Renalia. Inspired by Persia. Also the name of a large city in Nigeria.
Unnamed faraway kingdom - Their baked goods "thekua" imply it could be inspired by India or Nepal.

Kingdom of Corona
I've never watched Tangled or Tangled: The Series so I'm not an expert on the subject but from my understanding (mentioned in the list above), Corona draws inspiration from France and Germany. In the final episode of the series ("Plus Est En Vous"), a view of the Earth can be seen with Corona located in France.
In various other episodes, I've also noticed a map of the kingdom showing it has a landmass that resembles either the Brittany or the Cotentin peninsulas in northwestern France.
Interestingly, the island town of Mont-Saint-Michel that inspired the Corona capital city is located right in between the two peninsulas.
Our Royal Archivist @bigfrozenfan also linked this video that does a good job explaining the inspirations for Corona and why it's most likely based on France.
As you can see from this very crude measurement below, the distance from Arendelle to Corona (in this case assuming it's on the tip of Brittany) would be somewhere around 1 800-1 900 km by sea (or 1 500-1 600 km in a straight line). We've covered Arendelle's location in our previous works.
Quick maps
Given the locations for most of the Frozen nations are currently unknown, it's not possible to make a definitive map of all the featured kingdoms. But we can make a few qualified guesses using the information listed above.
These are some of our ideas for the locations of the nations closest to Arendelle (the green list):
Some locations for nations in Europe (the blue list):
And finally some faraway nations (the orange list):
NOTE: the kingdoms of Zaria and Chatho are featured in stories surrounding the Royal Tour (which only lasts three weeks according to a calendar in A year with Elsa & Anna) where Anna and Elsa also visit Vakretta. I'm pretty sure it would have been impossible for a 19th century sailing vessel to cover the distance from Scandinavia to the eastern parts of Asia and back again in that time frame, especially without the modern Suez Canal. I suspect Zaria and Chatho are not meant to be located in the regions that inspired them but rather be locations with eastern culture located much closer to Arendelle than the map above would suggest.
