Eggo Waffles vs. Belgian Waffles: A Waffle Comparison

I've written quite a bit about the two basic schools of thought with regard to waffle preparation. 'Frozen or toasted?' like, 'Should I bother putting on pants today?' is a question I've asked myself every morning for the last six years. The two waffle system has been an institution for generations. But that all changed a few weeks ago.

In Brussels I discovered a kind of waffle that's never frozen to begin with. It literally blew my mind. It's called a Belgian Waffle, and I've created a helpful table comparing it to the other kinds of waffles.

I'm not sure if Belgian Waffles are on a level with regular waffles yet, but it's pretty clear the game has changed.
