Okay thanks again to @awesome-normal-heroes for their amazing au and idea

I really like the au where Macaque get punish by JE and being the Emperor Mindless servent because YES. Macaque deserve his own punishment for attacking the heaven. Yes, he didnt want but it didnt change the fact he still did it and now he face the consequest of his own action and having his own punishment that very much different.

BUT what I love about idea is that Mayor pretend to be Macaque and Wukong holding back dispite knowing that. Imagine the power Mayor have and reasons why Wukong being easy. Dont get Wukong wrong he could just killed the Mayor but he keep the Mayor around just because Mayor pretend to be Macaque

In Wukong own fuck up let Mayor do whatever to him because he think he deserve it for someone who look like Macaque. But it just intresting to see their dynamic togather

Imagine if the kiss. God that will much more fuck up if Wukong LET that happend and KNOW Mayor will leave him after that. Like Mayor wanna pretend right? Wukong also pretend everything is real and is that what Mayo doing is what Wukong think Macaque would do to him

Maybe who know...Mayor catch a feeling because spending time with Someone that treat you like 'lover' make you feel the warm you never fell?

And that Mayo is deniel of everything thinking he messing with Wukong for Lady Bone Demon sake only for Wukong to mess with his brain. How sotf and pretty - wait what-

Sundenly Wukong "calling" him Macaque is not fun anymore. He know what he doing and so IS Wukong. This isn't suppose to happend. Wukong suppose to be annoying and angry but this Wukong just accepting. He KNOW Wukong is aware that of everything so why do Wukong act this??!? Why does Wukong act he love hin for a second and hate it another second? Right...he love Macaque and hate him.

My first immediate thought was like a canon divergence where Mayor just kind of goes off the deep end post the s3 special and tries to take revenge by directly attacking SWK in his home. But considering he doesn’t have much of his powers again, it goes horribly, but it’s so pathetic that SWK decides to keep him under house arrest of sorts. Mayor just goes through a domestication arc because he slowly develops a sense of self outside of LBD and eventually, feelings develop but it would be a slow burn, which I don’t have the patience to write tbh

I can not wait to see a fic that’s post Season 3 finale where the Mayor has to meet Wukong’s family over dinner.

Especially with DBK and IFP.

Because while I'm still working out how s3 would go in this AU, Mayor would be with MK, Sandy, and Mei when Red Son saves them from being stranded within the desert.

So he does meet DBK and PIF during s3 unfortunately it's when they have to steal DBK's Samadhi Fire ring.

But during the awkward dinner, the two can tell that there's something going on based on how Mayor talks about Wukong and how his face immediately goes soft at the thought of the Monkey King. And despite them supposedly being "arch enemies", the two immediately become suspicious of his intentions and are terrible at hiding them being protective of Wukong.

Oh the temptation to write a fic of this.
