I actually do not think "most trans men" do ANYTHING the way "any other women" do. because trans men are not women for them to be "other women." nice Freudian slip asshole.

also. "before they started looking like cis men" NO! we look like MEN. cis men look like me. there is no fundamental separation between me & cis men that I can only "look like". we are all men. and we get privileges as MEN. just because as trans men they are not always 100% given to us doesn't mean we don't get them. Just because our access to them is conditional doesn't make us less men, that conditionality is there for literally every kind of man. All men are under conditional privilege, that's how privilege works!! why do you want those privileges so bad and not just like. rights. why do you want the privilege & entitlement to enter women's spaces as a man? it's a woman's space. why do you want it? & if you think of yourself as partially a woman then like. no wonder you get dysphoric ab not being in women's spaces but that's a separate issue???

I'm sick of ppl being so ready to distance themselves from transmisogyny that they get REALLY transphobic and cissexist about what trans men are. we should not be temporarily embarrassed patriarchs!!! you should not need privileges. please align yourself with trans women and see how quickly you lose even the bare privileges you have gained. realize how much worse it must be for them. why must other trans men vent about the things that hurt us by comparing us to 'other women', removing us from manhood because we /only/ 'look like cis men', and throwing trans women's needs & comfort under the bus. makes me sick.

I think a lot of ppl correctly identify the problem of

'there is not enough resources for us'

& jump straight to the incorrect conclusion of

'so this other group of *fakers* must be stealing it'

so they have a tangible to blaim

rather than acknowledging the terrible truth that the purpose of the system is what it does & here the system is to pit disabled people against each other, pit abled ppl against all of us, & to keep ANY of us from accessing resources

new record for worlds most silent crier most covert cutter just dropped for this guy right the fuck here!! no one even fucking nos or cares! and why should they!!! i just hurt everyone around me with my stupidity and recklessness and my enthusiasm just leads to more of those two things. everyone always ends up hating me no matter how hard i try or plead or how much i break and bend. i am not ultimately lovable or desirable beyond how much i can help someone until how much i hurt out weighs anything else. and it should. when you hurt people they shouldnt keep you around. so everyone eventually leaves me and i fucking deserve it.

I just think that as fascists are taking over is a really bad time to start/keep debating who's a Real Gay & who's just faking for clout. maybe the threat of fascism should make it clear to y'all that there is no clout to be faked for. there is NO safety in being ANY kind of gay or trans or gender non conforming or intersex or otherwise outside of perisex cisheteronormativity.

screamscreamscream. wlw does not inherently mean 'not attracted to men'. bi women r wlw. hell it doesn't even inherently mean 'this person is only a woman' multigender ppl can b wlw. not every multigender person ids with being nonbinary, some multigender ppl r always same gender attracted, so they're wlw & also mlm (or xlx or whatever.)

don't love that that 'butch' book list is reccing jack halberstam & not offering any context or critiques of his conception of butches being almost entirely tied to ftm & basically entirely removed from mtf. how does one write a whole book on 'female masculinities' & not include trans women?? how does not analyzing the transmisoginy & the ways trans women are oppressed for their "female masculinities" not help explain & find solidarity with cis women & trans mascs.... I wish we could acknowledge the failings of the butchfemmes who came before us, the transmisoginy some ppl worked under, were forced under, while still learning ab our community over all. not just one or the other...

like. op didn't offer any commentary on any of the works, so maybe it'd b weird if it was just on this one. & I haven't read every book on the list. it's just... a personally recommended list... & also. no one in the tags or notes saying anything :\\

plus there's always the "it speaks volumes (tho not to op just to the community at large) that we can find many famous articles & academics on trans butches who push transfem butches to the side or argue them as "male masculinity" or third genders them but we can find no transfem butch academics :<" angle...
