One of the reasons a lot of anti-transandrophobia/transmascilinity talking points really bother me is because it's just "why we don't need biphobia" repackaged.

i think everything within this community would be easier if we learned the difference between "i heard someone saying this annoying thing one time" and "this is an actual oppressive structure of power". the fact that A trans man ONCE said something stupid on TUMBLR (or something YOU don't agree with) does not mean the WHOLE community of them hold an insurmountable amount of power irl. please calm down and remember that certain situations ARE original

edit: another example: do you guys remember that girl who posted a tiktok about her feelings after her girlfriend dumped her for a man and how it unleashed an internet debacle between bi and lesbian girls that we had never seen before??? all because this teen girl was talking about HER EXPERIENCE and everybody and their mama had to make it about THEMSELVES and started acting like lesbians were working side by side with trump against queer people. yes, biphobia exists. no, our biggest enemy isn't lesbians. every month this collective finds a new way to self implode. we will be burning at the stake and still complain bc one of this is getting cooked faster

What the hell is going on in the LGBTQ+ community lately

Maybe I'm too deep into a bubble or maybe I'm only now seeing the weird side of the community, but the amount of biphobia, aro/acephobia, transmedicalism, anti-transmasculinity, lesbians hating on trans lesbians and people who wanna separate the TQ+ from the LGB on my dash lately is incredible.

Why are we infighting at such a critical time

Why do we have to micromanage who's allowed to play with us like we're 5 year olds picking tag teams

None of you are more mature or more palatable to people who hate queer people if you reject parts of the community or modern developments of labels.

It's not in favor of our striving for freedom if you break free from one cage just to impose another upon yourself.

Many of y'all need to take a lesson in fluidity and acceptance. Sit yourselves down in class next to the homophobes and transphobes, because stubborn single-mindedness is not exclusive to people who aren't queer.

there’s a weird underlying issue in fandom culture where queer people who prefer any ship that is hetero presenting have their sexualities denied… often by other queer people AND cishet people

“You’re not a real queer person” or “you would never understand queer struggles” and it being said to a queer person THEMSELVES 😭
