I remember when I was reading LOTR for the first time and I got to the part where the eagles take Sam and Frodo and Naaman was over and I looked up and I said "So how come the Eagles didn't just like, pick them up at the beginning?" and he sort of started replying a few times and then eventually said "because.... because shut up" and that's when I knew that I was never going to be a "proper" LOTR fan

mmm i guess there was other relevant information, i've actually been to see a doctor already, i went around day 8-9 of symptoms because i thought i had allergies

i was having symptoms (Really itchy eyes, watery eyes, sneezing, major, MAJOR congestion) and for whatever reason was pretty sure it was allergies, so i went and bought one of those over-the-counter deals and started taking it; day one didn't do much, day two was like 50% better, day three it was almost like not having symptoms except for my mouth being really dry and tasting bad, but then i stopped taking them so my doctor could see i actually had symptoms

so i went

and she told me i haven't had symptoms long enough for it to be allergies, it's probably a cold, she recommends advil cold & sinus and says "look, you can either take allergy meds and if it gets better than you might have allergies, but i think you have a cold virus so just take advil for the symptoms and it'll probably be better. you can't take both, i think advil will help you sooner. we can't diagnose allergies unless you've had like, two months of symptoms, it's annoying you, it won't go away." and she gave me a nasal spray because i had awful congestion and regardless of cause the nasal spray would be helpful

the next few days i didn't really take anything, it was like, sneezing a lot and a little bit of nose-blowing but overall not nearly as bad as it had been

yesterday, i woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like my throat was like, on fire and awful and i was trying not to cry because it hurt so much, congestion was back

when i got up sneezing was much more frequent and just worse, like, previously i'd just been sneezing but yesterday every time i sneezed it was like my nose exploded it was just aggravating and messy

last night i couldn't really sleep between the congestion and the sore throat making mouth breathing awful

today my throat is a liiiiiittle better, i've been taking advil and it helps a little but my throat still hurts, still super congested.... considering buying more allergy meds at a pharmacy near here but my doctor was so sure it wasn't allergies and i've never had them in my life prior to this, so who knows really

i have a physical in early-ish june so i guess i can re-evaluate with my doctor again then but i just feel like crap, it's so hard to motivate yourself when you feel like this

yeah, I was pretty proud of me too :) me from six months ago would never even have considered it, so it was a big deal regardless. thanks hun <3
