Did the price of parmesan really go up this much..? “
It was strange that he was talking to snakes now.
Really, it was. But to him, it was a gift. A gift he could utilize pretty freely, and to the best of his ability. Snakes were his friends, after all, and you gave friends what they wanted. He could hear exactly what their wishes were, so naturally,
"Your wish has been granted. ~"
Every snake 'rescued' from captivity was let loose along the ground in the middle of Basileia Plaza. It was a bit of a journey to the forest from here, but here warranted the most favourable reactions from the humans occupying the space, didn't it?

The discovery of his newfound ability had been serendipity at its purest. Upon attempting to learn of theories concerning multiple planes of existence, Joshua had found several needed books within the library to be out of reach. It was only after an impatiently stretched hand gently fell to his side in defeat that the sheer power of will lifted his body as if in compensation, successfully providing the required height to grab what untouched reports he wanted.
To gain the information he wished based on his memories, he had to use the power gifted to him through these memories; it was laughable, pleasantly so.
Almost, dare he say, as laughable as the expression painted in the palest shade of skin on the face of his unexpected witness.
"You alright?" Feigned care was delivered with civil confidence. "You look like you saw a ghost." Such a cliched line, and yet its truth couldn't be closer.

I'm stuck in my hometown on a school day. But who cares, let's have fun while I'm at it!
And so, the teenager known as Yosafire stopped worrying and was stuck in the flower gardens of Paralia that she had loved since childhood. If she couldn't escape, so what? At least she had something to do which gave her happiness, right?
It was interesting however. She had planned on spending the day with her childhood friends, but for some reason she couldn't reach them. What is going on in this world? It's just one mysterious thing after another.
"Curiouser and curiouser." Curiouser is not a word, Yosaf. Good try.
MIXUP MYSTIFICATION
Destruction of a stable mind into an indecipherable web of thoughts and feelings felt like falling towards the very bottom of an endless well. The classic misdirection between up and down in a state of crumbling left me without a showing of emotion, nothing giving way to the inner turmoil aside from the look of death in my hollow eyes. For someone as terrible as me, I deserved all the pain my emotions brought me. Confusion, anxiety, anger and hatred, all swirling around and expanding with nowhere to go. I was a despicable person. The lowest of the low. A rotten existence. "The only one who should die is you."
My knees felt weak. Someone like me should really be killed. I was a menace to those around me and it was all my fault. I wanted to puke. I wanted to scream. I wanted to run until I couldn't run anymore and pass out somewhere I didn't know. I hated myself. I hated myself. I hated myself. I had to do something. My feet seemed to drag along the ground. My body felt heavy, almost like I'd lost control of it. I approached the first person who seemed like the best possible candidate for a bit of sparring, and tapped them on the shoulder. "Hey," My fingers clenched into a tight fist. "Do me a favour?
"-- Destroy me."
I threw my arm forward with as much force as I possibly had within me, aiming my fist directly at their face.
"Trust fall!"
"I wonder if there is a mechanic around in Paralia, surely they are not that uncivilized."
"Is anyone willing to join a search of at least a lonely, broken car? Or any sort of abandoned vehicle..."
