what the gosh darn heckie is going on here [frw open]
Hiromi sat by a desk in a library in Kairos. Several books were scattered along the surface of the table, stacked on top of each other, some still open on a certain page. Hiromi glared at the one he was currently reading, angry with it for not giving him the answers he wanted.
He was not satisfied with the way things were going at all.
When the train connecting Paralia and Kairos was reopened, Hiromi had gone fishing for several hours so that he’d have enough money to get himself clean and pay the boarding fee. Upon returning home, he’d found everything untouched. Even his wallet was unmoved from his desk.
No explanation regarding the current events – an entire population being transported from their homes and acquiring some otherworldly power - was provided by whoever was ruling Kairos and Paralia.
The books he had run through – all about the history of the two cities - did not say if anything like this had happened before.
Sighing loudly, Hiromi put down the book and looked at the person closest to him.
"Would you, by any chance, know what on earth has been going on?”
I can't focus.
Ever since the event regarding the sudden transportation from Kairos to Paralia, Yosafire has ended up unable to think about anything else than that. She did try not to, but... for once, she actually got intrigued. And how she notices at the moment is because she can't focus on studying.
It's not just because of the oddity of the situation, but also because of that vision she had gotten of herself falling headfirst from the sky. Was it a memory? Was it a dream she had suddenly remembered? Just what in the world was it?
She really tried not to think about it all in order to not get distracted, until she heard a voice asking her about the exactly same thing. Wow. Is this what they called "two people with the same mind"? Or something like that?
Wow, now I really can't focus!
"Uhh, could you clarify exactly what you mean?"
