Levi barely knew the person. They had met over instagram and they had offered him a place to crash and hot shower -- which was much needed. But he was thankful that they had been kind enough to offer such amenities for free as he was running low on cash and drifting around didn’t exactly bring in a lot of money. He slept on the couch, relatively soundly and woke up before the other; he laid there for awhile until he heard them stirring in the other room. He sat up, combing a hand through his hair as the other padded out of their room. “Morning. Thanks again for letting me stay here, I really appreciated the shower.”

Levi’s world just turned upside down, inside out with the utterance of two simple words. He had to own up to his half of the deed but he truly wasn’t expecting her to tell him she was pregnant. He couldn’t wrap his head around it at first, he just sat there, his jaw slack and eyes wide. As a drifter with no job, this was huge. He couldn’t bring himself to abandon her, he would need to change. Perhaps he was mourning the loss of his lifestyle already. “You’re pregnant?” he repeated. “Like really really? This isn’t a joke, right?”
