Stubborn Parties | Luke and Taylor |
If there was one thing that Lucas did not understand more than all the chips he went through over the years it was the way woman think. Their minds and actions never failed to confuse him when he was around them for too long. No matter if they were chipped or not chipped, at the end of the day they still confused the hell out of the man. This one, Taylor, the girl five years his junior left the child-like acting man confused at almost everything she said. It was one thing to for someone to challenge the saloon owner but when women did it almost made the challenge even better due to their almost always snarky remarks back. The girl in front of him sure had enough sass to keep up with his retorts but Lucas could see she was backing away, possibly even plotting her way out. However, Luke was not going to let her leave that quickly. One could tease and banter as much as she did and just leave not in, at least in the bar owner's book she couldn't.
"How am I supposed to know? I’m just trying to confuse you. Looks like it’s working, guess I don’t need to give you a hint after all. Later Luke!" the brunette stated before started to make her way away from the man.
Lucas' eyes rolled slightly, knowing that the girl was just trying to test his patience - one thing that Luke was never good at was keeping patient. After a challenge or a game was put into play he wouldn't just let the other play leave without him getting in at least the last word. Quickly he moved around to get closer two her. His hand slammed against the wall behind the young woman and looked down with a rather large smirk. His body angled in a manner where he was leaning in but only to a point where it wasn't too intrusive.. He could see that his action took at a bit by surprise which made a small chuckle fall from his lips. The blonde man just wasn't ready for the conversation to be over with. With the Saloon being pretty slow lately, their banter proved to be the most entertaining thing to happen that day.
"Now you say your trying to confuse me but then there you are with that deer in the headlights look in your eye. No reason to be running off" Lucas added looking down at the woman with a rather large smirk. He noted the way her eyebrows crinkled and how her mouth was partially open, as if she had something to say but didn't know how to say it. The smirk on his face only intensified as he studied the younger girl and how she processed the moment. "I believe you have a hint to tell me, I'm not letting you leave until I at least have time to take some guesses. It is only fair after all - you're the one that started this, Hastings. I am just going to keep it going. Lucas remarked in his cocky tone that would come out here and there. Slowly he leaned into their already small space between the two lifting his smirk to a smile. "I'll take that hint now..." the man added before pulling back slightly "..that is unless you are scared of me figuring out what's going on in that complicated serious mind of yours."
