Is Jellal and Jerza your favourite things about fairy tail?

Jellal is one of my favourite characters, and Jerza is my favourite of the “big 4” ships. However, all the Jerza (and Jellal) on my blog is also the result of a couple of other big factors:

1) Erza is one of my favourite Fairy Tail characters. Since the fandom has become (even more?) focussed on “canon” ships lately (over characters), I tend to see her with Jellal. That said, I do like how Mashima, and fan-artists, draw Jellal - it suits both my general aesthetic *and* my romantic aesthetic. I note that my favourite male characters tend to share the same lean/angular look (and cool/cold colours).**

2) I personally happen to like Gray a lot, but rarely get to see him as “Gray” anymore. The fandom is so polarized on the Gray and Juvia ship that I find it uncomfortable. I’m a flexible multi-shipper, myself, and I see fanfiction and fanart as a way to explore both canon *and* non-canon ships. Since I personally prefer Gray (and Juvia) in other ships, or as individual characters, I don’t find as much Gray content as I would like.

** In contrast, I’m less fond of Mashima’s insistence on mega-breasts and under-developed arms for female characters. Yes, it’s just manga/anime, but we’re talking personal preference, here.

TL; DR: Jerza is my favourite ship of the “big 4″. I like Jellal a lot, but have other characters I’d like to blog at least as much, but find the fandom content dwindling.

It’s fine... Everything’s fine... It’ll be okay...

Joking aside, I think this pair of chapters caught all of us by surprise. By the end of last week’s chapter, I was certain that Natsu was gonna have an epic brawl against his older brother. But nope. Instead, we get Mavis hogging the spotlight for the first half of the chapter, trying to get Zeref to come to his senses.

Mavis, by now you should know that your former boyfriend who somehow got you pregnant is mad crazy. There’s no sense in talking to him. Second, you prevent Natsu from attempting to finish Zeref off when he’s in Dragon Force, which could’ve been really cool to see. Instead, we see you get axed off because you were stupid enough to get in the middle of their fight. Oh, and there’s Acnologia finally doing something important. You know, I am being a little harsh, but to defeat Acnologia with the ravines of time would be so stupid. So to see Zeref try and take him down would be epic beyond belief.

Speaking of which, Zeref got Fairy Heart and is now the proclaimed “White Wizard” who can control time, even resetting the damage Natsu does with his Fire Dragon King Demolition Fist. And then, Natsu’s impaled. Okay, I legit was surprised by these two chapters. Seeing Natsu go into Dragon Force with that signature grin of his in the last chapter made me think “Yeah, he’s gonna win with his own power”. But then, Mavis has to butt in and ruin everything, even sending Natsu to his early grave, or so it seems for the moment. I honestly believe E.N.D. will be coming to fight Zeref now since he’s achieved a power up, but I don’t believe Zeref will have the luxury of relying on him as a partner when up against Acnologia.

What I want is a three-way fight between Natsu, Zeref, and Acnologia, with Natsu mostly going after Zeref since well, that’s his end goal: to kill him.

The second chapter was definitely better than the first, but that’s only bias based on Mavis intervening. Call it what you will, I thought it was too stupid for her to just butt in.

FT Theory - Lucy and Ravines of Time

Call me crazy but…Lucy could save the Dragon Slayers. Think about it:

The Ravines of Time is a time-space magic. Celestial magic is a type of space magic. If she were to combine her Urano Metria spell with the Ravines of Time, (like Zeref did with Fairy Heart), she’d be able to harness it just enough that she could shut it off and/or close it.

She’d have to get the Dragon Slayers out first…which would be easy since she has Gemini that copied Marin. She could use his Rules of Area magic (like she did with Jacob). It can negate all types of space magic!

Lucy and Anna could do a unison raid. So far the only people to use the Ravines of Time have been the ones from 400 years ago..(Zeref, Anna, Acnologia).

Could this be possible?

FT Chapter 534 Reaction - Lucy & Jellal

Lucy please enlighten us on how you knew exactly Natsu was hurt? (;p)

Can I just say that I’m so glad Hiro is giving Lucy a much bigger part in this arc? I mean, she’s on the verge of being instrumental in the destruction of ZEREF!

She looks like sh’es either possessed or in a trance!

Okay so a small part of me thinks that Lucy is either taking the wounds from Natsu and the side effect is that she’s getting them, or just the pain.

However, the more plausible reason could be that the book has safe guards (gates) on the book that prevents changes to it. I doubt Zeref would want anyone messing with his books (especially his brother’s). That being said, because it technically holds the life of END in it, there may be potential of a meeting between Lucy and END’s spirit that could come. Could you imagine?! We saw inside Natsu’s heart...why not Lucy’s?!

“TO WHAT ‘END’ WILL NATSU AND LUCY’S FRIENDSHIP TAKE THEM!?”

THE NALU IS FREAKING REAL! When I saw this I couldn’t stop looking at this caption..not to mention the title of chapter 535 - THE STRONGEST POWER!!! (insert NALU fan girl-ing and squealing)

ARE WE FINALLY GOING TO GET CONFIRMATION ABOUT THE ONE MAGIC BEING LOVE?!?!?

Since it seems like Lucy is the only one to make that connection! When you think about it it does make sense. From love, you get all other emotions (both the good and bad).

Can’t wait to see if Natsu will find out about Lucy

Secondly...

ACNOLOGIA LOOKS TERRIFYING! (And scary as SHIT!)
