klaus didn’t sleep very well even on a good day, ghosts keeping him up and ruining any chances of a good night’s sleep the second he closed his eyes. last night had been a bad one, so he was up in the earlier hours of the morning. grouchy and in desperate need of a coffee - god, he really wasn’t a morning person - the seance opened his bedroom door so he could drag himself to the kitchen, but stopped in the doorway when he noticed his sister’s door opening too and... someone who definitely wasn’t vanya leaving. it took a moment for his eyes to adjust but as soon as he figured out who it was, his skin prickled. any other time and he would have been thrilled, ready to tease his sister about it at any given moment like he had when luther got laid, but not with alecto. he didn’t trust her, or her bullshit story about diego. there was just... something about her that didn’t sit right with him. eyes narrowing slightly, klaus hesitated a moment before stepping into the room right in time to catch alecto before she left. “you’re really gonna leave without saying goodbye?” he said, loud enough to get her attention but not loud enough to disturb his sister if she was sleeping. “you know, i usually stick around and at least try to get a free breakfast out of it,” he said, moving forward to head towards the kitchen. “so what’s the deal here? my sister’s not gonna wind up dead in a week, is she?”
