Where: The Winter Banquet ( the court )
When: December 15th, during the banquet
A dress. Olivia was in a dress, one that obviously wasn’t picked out by her because she didn’t know the first thing about anything formal or dressy, and it showed in the awkward way she was standing for a little bit. The black and burnt orange tones were meant to compliment her olive complexion, at least that was what she was informed. Luckily she was able to not be talked into wearing some tall heels, instead opting for a pair of boots with the smalled little heel to them. Surprisingly they were easy to walk in, but still, all of this felt so foreign. Her hair was styled, she had make up on her face, and as she pushed through the doors into the banquet she felt different.
She felt pretty for the first time in her life.
Swallowing down the nerves in her throat, some what similar to how she felt on Halloween in her Lara Croft outfit, she took a deep breath through her nose. On top of being a little self conscious and conflicted on how to feel about her appearance, she knew that her old team would be here, Penn State was obviously a great team and not easy to knock out. Her plan for the evening was simple, stay as far away as possible from wherever they were. The only concern she had was, would they stay away from her? Sighing, she smoothed her palms over her skirt and rolled her shoulders back, she wasn’t going to let them ruin tonight. Olivia had been in a good place since their last win, landing them a spot in the championship, automatically feeling like this transfer was really worth it. She was meant to be here, and it felt so fucking good.
She was happy Alis agreed to come with her she was a good person to talk to, someone she might even consider a friend. It was still hard to figure out and navigate all these new found relationships to her, but she was making progress. Enough to keep her distracted from her father’s badgering phone calls and texts, and as her phone buzzed again, she rolled her eyes and turned it off before shoving it into her bag. Making her way to the coat check, she dropped off her jacket before spinning around in her shoes, ultimately fumbling her balance and falling into whoever was behind her, “Jeez, I’m so sorry.” Olivia breathed out, glancing at them before blushing, “I’m still, uh, learning how to walk in these things.”
