You ready?” Alfie asked, he was getting a bit antsy to leave as he watched Arden back the final belongings in her bag. part of him felt a little bad for somewhat asking Arden to drop everything and come to LA with him, he was planning on asking her later today so that the two could leave the next evening, but with the way things had panned out with AJ he was itching to get away so he booked the hotel room for one extra night. “Bring something nice to wear, I mean not that you don’t usually dress nicely but you know just like, formal-wear” he said, it was so incredibly hard for him to keep the news about his new job from Arden but it was way more fun for him to surprise her with it. “If we leave now we could get to LA in just under two hours and then we can finally go to dinner in Beverly Hills like the pretentious little rich kids we were always meant to be” he chuckled.

She picked him up from the airport on his flight down to San Diego. The two had one of those reunions that look like they only happen in the movies, alfie trying his best to not make a scene of himself but as he held his sister in his arms for the first time in six years, he couldn’t help but cry.

These two have a designated night of the week that they meet for drinks or dinner. They spend the night chatting up a storm and filling each other in on both social and family drama, indulging the gossip that alfie would never admit he enjoys.

AJ 

Alfie and AJ consistently text each other throughout the nights, and a some points he catches himself smiling at his phone like an actual idiot. As the night grows older they eventually resort to a phone call and before he knows it he’s met with the light of the sun shining through his window, a phone tucked under his ear—the two had fallen asleep talking to each other.

It’s an unspoken tradition that whenever alfie comes over to the beach house they have to spend at least a little time drinking by the fire.

somehow, someway she had convinced arden to come grocery shopping with her. she was on a new path in her life where she decided of course , i can become a chef... like it’s hard or something ? in reality , it was probably just one of her obsessions that she’ll fall out of in a few weeks. nevertheless , the two made their way down the small quiet grocery aisle, browsing through ingredients. ‘ one time i bought a cabbage instead of lettuce and let me tell you... i wasn’t very happy about how my salad turned out. ’, susie truthfully said while poking a cabbage. ‘ also , should i go for an italian week ? what do you think ? ’

When Austen met Arden, he knew from the start that he was biting off more than he could chew. He was so used to the ability to have any girl he wanted in the palm of his hand, yet all of the suddenly he only had eyes for one. So there she was, the girl who came the closest to tying Austen Wilder down. They were together for nearly half a year before he had started to stray, it had nothing to do with Arden; she was perfect and he knew that, but old habits die hard. He ended things reluctantly, convinced that he was doing her a favor. After all, girls like her shouldn’t have to settle for guys like him. Now that she’s on the show, he’s not sure what to feel. Being in her presence again is like a breath of fresh air, and all he really wants to do is earn Arden’s forgiveness even if he doesn’t exactly deserve it.
