     —  “HELLO,  LOSER  !”  AVERY  CALLED  OUT  AS  he let himself into aria’s apartment. “i brought chinese and a guy on the street wanted to pick me up, but he was talking in chinese like a stereotypical asshole.” he threw himself on the couch and waited for his sister to show up. “come on, i’m starving and i haven’t seen you in forever. you’re always so busy with your girlfriend these days.”

                    dominic wasn’t supposed to be anywhere near mystic falls.  no one at the school was much of a fan of his parents ― especially his father.  however, staying away from aria had proved to be much more difficult than anticipated.  their short-lived romance   ( if one could really call it that ) had been one fight after another, but he was drawn to her.  and he was helpless to stop himself.  once on school grounds, it didn’t take him long to find her room and although he hesitated ― his knuckles finally rapped at her door.  the surprise at who was on the other side was evident and he raked a hand through his hair, feeling ridiculous that he had even made the trip there.   “you make me crazy, you know that?”   probably not the best words to open the conversation with and he hesitated, eyes dropping from her gaze.   “i guess i’m just a glutton for getting hurt by you.”

     —  SUN  WAS  BRIGHTLY  SHINING  IN  ZOE’S  FACE  AS  SHE  HURRIED  down the street, eager to meet aria at the coffee shop near her work, trying to squeeze in a small and nice lunch during her break. during the weekdays it was hard to find quality time with her girlfriend because usually she was too tired to feel of any use after a long day at work. sometimes she swore she could still feel her ears ringing from all the yelling. “hey babe,” she said in a breathy voice, leaning in to give aria a quick kiss as she slid into her seat. “oh, you ordered my favourite ?” a faint blush dusted her cheek, the thought that aria knew what her favourite food at the coffee shop was.
