𝓬𝓵𝓸𝓼𝓮𝓭 𝓼𝓽𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓻 for @ungratcful!
𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙐𝙄𝙇𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙎 been weighing down on roxana’s shoulders for the last few weeks hadn't gone away and she's beginning to think that it never will. she and destiny had spent the entire day unpacking in their new home. the one on the opposite side of the world from where they grew up, that came with new names and new identities. she never imagined her father would find her after all these years, let alone would want her dead for the simple act of leaving mexico after her mother's death. yet, he had. the worst part wasn’t even the threat hanging over her head, it was the horrible timing that caused her closest friend to get caught in the middle of it all. because of her, destiny had to abandon everything; her family. her friends. her job. roxana didn't think she would ever forgive herself for that. now, the two of them are sitting on the living room floor, backs against the couch they barely managed to put together an hour ago. there's a box of pizza that rests on top of the last unopened storage bin, the smell of melted cheese in the air as they eat a late supper. the brunette doesn't have much of an appetite but still forces to have two slices, knowing she hadn’t eaten much this week because of the stress of the move. she wipes her mouth with a napkin when she’s done, looking at destiny as she crumbles it in her hand. ❝im sorry. i know i've said it a million times by now but...❞ she trails off, a sigh leaving her lips as she breaks their gaze. no, this guilt wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.
