One of the best things about traveling for the tail end of the summer was the complete freedom it gave her, she was back in Auradon CIty and able to just have some fun with her girls as the school year was approaching. Their bar of choice tonight was on the outskirts of town, dark and secluded, making it a sigh of relief for the princess that it was easier for her to let her hair down and have some fun. So she dressed in her best outfit, a tight skirt and a cropped top, heels, jewelry, the whole nines. Her long, thick hair was down in their usual kinky curls, and her makeup was done to perfection. She felt something in the air tonight, something exciting, and her body was buzzing as they made their way inside with a little cheer as they were greeted with drinks upon arrival. It didn’t take long to find an open area, a large booth in the corner as she signaled to her group that she was going to get them a round of shots, soaking in the cheers as she backed away from the table to head towards the bar.

There was a mixture of emotions at the news Amelia gave her about an hour ago, because it had to be the truth, her best friend wouldn’t lie to her like that. But why had he kept it from her if not to be a part of some master plan, wouldn’t he have known she would figure it out? There were about a million and one questions in her head, and she was hellbent on finding him and getting to the bottom of this. At least she hadn’t slept with him yet, got close, but she still had all her goodies in the basket. After another shot, she found the courage in her to march right up to him and tap his shoulder, “So....I never got to ask, where are you from? Like, I know it’s the Isle but like....where is your family actually from?” Her tone was a tiny bit sharp, despite her smile, and it was clear that the alcohol was doing little to no good at hiding the emotions brewing under the surface.

at first, she was having fun at fight night, but at more blood was spilled and tensions grew...she suddenly felt a shift. maybe it was the alcohol in her system, but she wanted to leave, and she chewed on her bottom lip as she typed a message into her phone to someone who wasn’t here. dev. while emerald was a fiery person, passionate, but she didn’t know if she thought fighting was always the answer. sure, the vision of hot sweaty guys duking it out was fun in retrospect, seeing her friends get pummeled down left her with a bad taste in her mouth. stepping outside of the building, she wrapped her arms around herself as she sank down onto a chair.

It had been about a week since she’d first met Dev, and honestly...it was hard not to think about him. She didn’t see him much around campus, but she was also busy with sorority stuff so it wasn’t like she had too much time to search. Deep in her mind, she was hitting herself for not grabbing his number before leaving the bar that night, but she was hoping that he would be at this party. Everyone was going to be here, he fell into the everyone category....unless frat parties weren’t this thing? Standing by the backdoor, drink in her hand, she sighed and turned to head back in before spotting him. A rush of adrenaline coursed through her before knocking back the rest of her drink and heading towards him, “And here I thought this wasn’t your scene?” She said with a playful smile on her lips, head falling to her side as she scanned his face with the same intense gleam in her eyes as when she’d first met him.
